I woke up to my alarm clock's annoying dinging. I dragged myself out of my bed and into my closet. I picked out a three-quarter sleeved shirt that had Mickey & Minnie kissing on it. It was white, except for the sleeves which were a faded blue. I grabbed a pair of short shorts that were a little faded and had a studded pocket. I slipped those on and picked out a pair of socks. Then I put on my brown combat boots. I also grabbed a white fedora hat with a black ribbon around it. I walked in front of my full-length mirror and thought, Wow, I look good. I chuckled at myself and went into my bathroom. I brushed through my hair and put it into a cute bun.

I walk downstairs through our living room, and into the kitchen. I opened the fridge and looked around for a quick breakfast. Nothing. I moved onto the freezer. Maybe, I thought. I opened the pantry, and looked inside. Nothing there either.

The thing is, I'm a very picky eater. I don't eat so many things that my parents make me go to the store with them to pick stuff out that I will eat. Weird, right?

I walk back to the freezer and open it. I pull out the Cinnamon Eggo Waffles box and grab two waffles from the plastic bag inside the box.

As I put the waffles in the toaster, my dad walks into the kitchen.

"Mornin' Dad," I greeted him with a kiss on the cheek.

"Morning sweetie." He replied. "Tryouts are today if you want to bring your equipment. You can join in in some things if you'd like. Want to?" My dad asked, smirking, already knowing the answer.

"Yeah, I'll go get my stuff together." I said to him. My waffles popped up. I put them on a paper plate and sprayed butter on them. Sprayable butter exists, yes. I take them up to my room, leaving my father in the kitchen, probably going through a list of names for tryouts. He coaches the boys soccer team at the high school I go to.

I always go to their practices, tryouts, and games. I can always get in extra practice for spring season, plus I get to hang out with a lot of my friends.

I finish eating and I start to go through my closet looking for practice clothes. I find my white cut-off our school's green Alligators logo on the front, with my last name on the back: Mason. I grab a pair of black short shorts along with a pair of black knee-high socks. I run out of my closet and stuff the clothes into my soccer bag. I quickly run back into my closet, grabbing my neon blue sports bra and shove that in my bag also.

I grab my soccer bag and backpack and run downstairs, waiting for my dad to finish. I see him getting his things together, since he's a counselor at the high school. I jogged to the car, opening the back and stuffing my bags back there. I open the passenger door and hop into the small blue Dodge car we own.

My dad walks into the garage and puts his stuff away in the car. Then we're on our way to the high school.
