When Alice first discovered that she had powers she was scared, she would lock herself in her room, the only person she let into her room was Bucky, and only him, not even her best friend, she didn't want to hurt him, and she knew that Bucky didn't care if she hurt him because he clearly stated that he didn't care since it wouldn't be her fault.

Every night when Alice would wake up screaming and cause something to break due to her powers were based on emotions at the time Bucky would be right side her, he knew she would have nightmares more so he would sleep in a chair beside her bed, he would get on the bed and hold her in his arms, rocking her back and forth while stroking her hair until she fell back asleep.

When Alice would ask Bucky to read her book to help calm her down he would, and it was always the same one Alice's Adventures in Wonderland, he'd read a chapter to her every night before bed and every time she asked him to when she woke up from a nightmare, she felt bad how she would ask him to read to her everyday, and she wasn't that great at hiding so when Bucky noticed he told her that it was perfectly fine how many times she was asking for him to read to her since he knew it helped calm her down.

Alice walked into the kitchen and sat at the table as Bucky put a plate of eggs on the table for her "Thanks" she smiled softly then started eating "No syrup?" he asked sitting down "Nah" she took a bite of her toast "Ok" he took a drink of his juice "These eggs are really good" she smiled softly then finished her food "Thanks" he chuckled.

Bucky was watching a movie in the living room when he heard a soft crying coming from Alice's room, "Alice?" he knocked gently "Yea?" she quickly wiped her tears "What's wrong?" he sat beside her "This stupid thing is being stupid" she crossed her arms "Well what are you making?" he looked at it "I'm making a ceramic pot and it keeps breaking, I'm being as gentle as can be and it's just-" she started talking quickly "Hey, take a deep breath, it's ok, we can figure this out" he reassured her "Ok" she took a deep breath.
After Alice finished the ceramic pot she smiled and clapped a bit happily and Bucky smiled "See, I knew you could do it" he ruffled her hair "yeah" she smiled.

Alice was watching tv when Bucky sat beside her "How's the magic going?" he asked "It's not going as crazy that much, just when I get upset, or if I have nightmares so" she smiled softly "That's as start, hey, you know my friend Wanda?" he looked at her "The redhead with the pretty accent?" she asked "Yea" he nodded "Why?" she looked at her hands "She offered to help teach you how to control your powers when you're upset or scared" he smiled softly "Oh, yay" she clapped a bit "Yay" he repeated with a bigger smile

"So a little birdie told me that Wanda was gonna start helping Alice with her powers" Nat was reading a book that night before bed "Yea, Alice was really excited about that" he sat down "Yea, I could tell when she told me" she looked at him "She really likes Wanda" he smiled "Well, Wanda is nice to her" she smiled "Mhm" he chuckled

Bucky heard a knock on the bed room door so he went to answer "Hi Alice" he opened the door "Dad, I think it's time we have a talk about your car's extended warranty" she spoke in a serious tone "What" he chuckled "This is serious, we need to talk about it" she nodded "Do you even know anything about a cars extended warranty?" he smiled "Nope" she laughed "Go to bed" he laughed then gave her a hug "Night dad, love you" she smiled hugging back then walked to her room

"Car's extended warranty" he chuckled then shut the door while looking at Nat "Very important thing" she closed her book then sat it down "She is definitely my child" he laid down "Definitely"she smiled then laid her head on his shoulder "She's getting more comfortable here" he played with her hair "Mhm" she smiled closing her eyes "Think she'll let Peter come over again?" he asked "I don't know" she sighed "Well, we'll figure out tomorrow" he kissed her head as she fell
