Even though I didn't expect moving to Kingston to be easy, I didn't expect it to be this hard either. For one, this heat and I definitely nah go rerk, and the whole "badman" facade is rubbish! I'm not gonna take orders from a bunch of cruffs that calls themselves a "gang" and worse my mouth nuh join church so dem try see mi n lowe mi!
"Tell them that when you see dem nuh" said my subconscious, I ignored her and proceeded to get something to eat.
I let out an exasperated sigh. I have a class at 2:00 and Lord knows I'm not ready. School started last week but lectures usually just introduce themselves and give a synopsis of the course and all a that ina the course outline so mi never need fi go.
The hot Kingston air makes me sleepy and I could use some rest, I flopped on my bed after putting my fan to the highest setting.
Kim also attends UWI, so we going together for our first day.

Look like dem rent piece a the sun put uppa UWI, and why up yah so big?? I can't find my classes and only thing left fimi do ina dis yah sun, is pass out.
I already know it's gonna be a rough year.
I wanted to do Law but my Mom couldn't afford it and my father is a deadbeat so mi nah beg him nth. I don't need the stress of having to pay student loan when I graduate so I settled for Political Science and Nicky want me to minor in a foreign language so "it can look good pon mi resume" idk a who and she enuh
Mom don't tolerate mediocre nor foolishness when it comes to me and school cause not to brag but I'm a smart girl and she spend whole heap to get me here.
"Mi ago keep mi head pon mi body n do the right yaa man." I thought to myself before glimpsing the boy from weh night and let me tell you the street light never a do him no justice cause this boy is majestic! He's about 6'4, mawga but I can tell him work out cause him nuh look like stick man him kinda built
I thought he didn't remember me so I tried secretly snapping him then he started walking over to where I was sitting.

"You a the girl from the other night, ina the pink, never know you go UWI?" He asked
First of all it's peach not pink n how you fi know seh mi go UWI? Kmt! A gwan like mi n him used to tek P.E.
"No, I don't know what you talking bout" I lied

Today is the first inte, literally the second week and dem a keep party. uwi keeps at least ten inte for the semester like we nuh have work fi do kmt, I doubt I'll be going tho.
My thoughts got interrupted by kim.
"Decide which foreign language you doing yet? Sooner you find out the better" She asked
"Might do french" I replied
We continued our conversation about how rough the day was and added each other to our locations just incase.
"Girl you nah mek we go inte?" She asked excitedly
"the lady mek sure warn mi seh she nuh send mi up yah fi come waste time" I replied while checking my schedule for tomorrow.
"Nicky deh way a country and don't have a clue weh you up yah a do" kim said.
"Fine! I'll come" I said sighing while getting up to look something to wear.

After getting dressed, I popped on some lipgloss and sighed for what felt like the 100th time today. Being forced to do stuff makes me so uneasy.
"Girl we ago have fun, just don't be so uptight" kim said and I didn't see the point in answering so I just plugged my phone off the charger then walked out behind her.
We reach the party at about Midnight and guess who tf is there?
Yes, you guessed right.
I pretended as if I didn't see him but he saw me and sent one of his 'yes men' over to call me

I looked over to see him with a smirk on his face which I completely ignored and turned my attention back to my friends.

We've been here a little over an hour and I'm already over it but Kim, Leeandra and Kehlani were having the time of their lives.
Lee was twerking which formed a crowd around us and everybody was now hyping her up

I told kim I was ready and as we were leaving someone grabbed me and pushed me up against a wall.
I'm sweating my heart is beating out of my chest. I've heard of numerous girls getting raped and sometimes killed, is this going to be my fate?

"Stop play wid mi badness Chiara" I heard a familiar voice said while covering my mouth preventing me from telling him the bad things going through my mind.

"Mi sor..." I was unable to finish my sentence cause he cut me off

"I'm sorry" I said quietly causing him and his friends burst out laughing

"Come on kim!" I angrily stormed off.
