We followed Rido into another room, Takuma sat on one of the chairs along with some people I didn't know.

"Why is she up here?"
A man asked

"This is The Echo."
Rido said, grabbing my neck and pulling me forward.

"I'm pleased to serve you,"
Echo said, bowing her head.

"So this is The Echo."
One of the men stated.

I glanced at Takuma. His eyes were scanning me. He looked confused.

'If we escape, he might hurt Takuma'

'We'll have to work with him for now'

"Echo, kill Takuma."
Rido said, smirking

'Echo, you can't'

'This is a test'

'How are you so sure?'

'I know men like him'

Echo charged towards Takuma, grabbing his neck before pinning him against a wall. She raised our hand, and before it could hurt him...

"Stop."
Rido said
"She'll do whatever she's told."

"Trust me."
Echo quickly whispered into Takuma's ear before we retreated to Rido's side.

"This made our job a lot easier,"
One of the men said.

"I need occasional blood to recharge,"
Echo said
"That's all I ask in return,"

"That's a deal,"
Rido said, rubbing my back

'You're welcome'

'You didn't have to do that'

'I do'
She said

Some time passed, and I was ordered to follow them to cross academy.

I followed close behind Rido. We went to the night class dormitories. When I door opened, all eyes were on us.

"(Y/n), you can come out for a while. Echo, I want you back in 20 minutes. "

'There you go'
Echo said, allowing me to return

I fell to my knees, glaring up a Rido.
"Fuck you"
I said before walking up to Kaname's room.

I knocked on the door before entering. When Kaname's eyes landed on me, he was by my side in seconds.

He pulled me into a warm embrace.
"Are you ok?"

"Yes."
I said blankly.

"What did he do to you?"
Kaname asked

"I drank a lot of human blood, I made a deal to work with him-"

"Why would you-"

"To get back here. Where he was keeping me was almost impossible to escape. I'm pretending to be on his side to keep you all safe. "

"It's risky,"
Kaname said
"But if you think it'll work,"

"I need to be back in... 18 minutes"
I said
"I want to go see Zero."

"Be quick,"
Kaname said, placing a kiss on my forehead.

I walked back downstairs to see Rido waiting on the couch.
"May I go see Zero?"
I asked him, kneeling down in front of him

The nightclass stared at me, confused.
"Yes."
He said, patting my head

"Thank you,"
I said, walking out of the moon dormitories.

I quickly ran to the headmaster's office where I knew Zero would be. I could sense him. My power seemed to have increased after drinking from the humans.

I opened the door to see Zero arguing with the headmaster.

"It's been days. Why can't we go look for her?"

"There's no need for that,"
The headmaster said, glancing at me

"Why?"

"She's behind you,"

Zero quickly looked behind him. I hugged him the second he turned around.

"(Y/n)?"
Zero questioned, hugging me tightly

"I missed you,"
I whispered into his ear
"I'm so happy to see you're ok,"

"Likewise."
He said
"How did you escape?"

I explained the situation to him and the headmaster. They both had the same reaction as Kaname.

"Are you going to go back?"
Zero asked

"I dont know."
I said
"I have the feeling he's not going back"
