I made it to the pavement right in front of my flat with a fluttered heart, waiting for Elizabeth hoping she was safe and unharmed. I couldn't help but shake my legs anxiously at the thought of Elizabeth being robbed or kidnapped by this unknown man.

Finally, after what feels like forever, a black Hyundai Elantra pulled over next to where I stood up. The driver rolled down the window, I could see a young lad in his early 20s wearing a black hoodie to cover his wavy brown hair, he had a bright green eye whose colour resembles the precious Jade Stone and a tiny lip.

I narrowed my eyes at the sight, never seen this man before in my life. Our gaze met for a split second, he quickly looks away and proceeded to unbuckle his seatbelts. I could see Elizabeth passed out in his backseat..

He then got off of the car, turns out, despite his baby face, he was super tall. I gulped, I only can watch him from a little distance as he proceeded to carry Elizabeth and placed her arms on his shoulder as he walk her straight to me.

"She's alright, don't worry", he uttered.

"Okay.. but who are you?", I questioned him with a squinted eye and a raised brow, feeling nothing but suspicion.

"I'm Mark Lewis", he introduced himself instead of answering my actual question.

"I mean, are you her friend?", I continued.

"No"

My heart skipped a beat hearing that answer, so he was a total stranger?!

"A boyfriend," he replied.

"Oh my..", I gasped at the thought of Elizabeth dating for the very first time. She always told me she wanted a cute young looking boyfriend, and that's precisely what she got. But, the thing is, I didn't know how long has this been going on.

"Let's walk her inside," he said.

I nodded quickly at his words, I placed Elizabeth's left arm on my shoulder and started to walk her alongside this unknown lad who claimed to be her boyfriend.

10 minutes later

Mark and I placed Elizabeth on her bed and pulled a blanket all over her, she was totally knocked out after a night of drinking. Mark quickly pocketed his hands as he watched her with a little smirk in his face, I must say those aren't a smirk of admiration, but rather, I see his sweet little smirk turning into malicious one.

"Okay I think you'll have to go," I stated.

"Sorry for causing you this inconvenience. I lived nearby, if she need anything, and you too, you can always give me a call," he replied.

"I appreciate it, thanks", I forced a smile while rubbing the back of my neck. Something about him is quite fishy but I was unable to pinpoint precisely what is it not to mention his presence made me uncomfortable, like, there's something odd or off about this person and your guts knew it.

Slowly but surely I watched him heading out of my room, I couldn't help but follow his steps and standing up right in front of the door like a statue, watching him heading further into the corridor while whistling some tune to himself.

He then turned around unexpectedly and our gaze inevitably met again, I flinched, and quickly slammed the door shut. How on earth he could sense he was being watched from such distance? Okay, now I'm the creepy one, I need to calm down.

I woke up at the sound of my buzzing alarm. It was eight precise, I needed to prepare to go to work today and make sure I didn't cover someone else's shift, because, the audacity.

I slid out of my bed, grabbed my towel and put it on my right shoulder then headed towards the bathroom. Once I walked past the couch, to my surprise, Elizabeth was here completely sober as her gaze was fixated on her phone, I could see her smiling and stuff while typing energetically. I sighed, must be that lad from last night...

"Liz?", I summoned her as if she was in another dimension because it sure feels like it. She was too fixated and fascinated on that one lad to the point where she didn't even pay attention to her surroundings.

"Liz???", I waved my hands at her hoping she would soon notice my existence.

"Anna! Oh my god!", she was surprised to learn my presence standing in front of her.

"I see what you did over there..", I uttered.

Her face flushed in an instant, she quickly twirl her blond hair and trying to conceal her smile, "Oh shut up, what did you know?"

"Mark Lewis", I mentioned his name.

She gasped, "How did you find out?!"

I chuckled, "Pretty easy"

"Tell me how!", she demanded.

"Last night I give you a call but a lad picked up instead claiming to be your boyfriend, and his name is Mark Lewis. He dropped you off here and the two of us were having a difficult time to walk you back in and put you back in bed like a toddler", I explained.

She chuckled, "I'm sorry for that but yeah, you got me"

"You traitor..", I teased as I proceeded to sit next to her.

Liz giggled, "I'm sorry for not telling you earlier"

"So... while I give you a chance to redeem yourself you better spill everything now,"

"Okay", she laughed.

"This might sound ridiculous but I met him in a kebab shop... we were queueing then ugh, turns out I didn't bring enough money with me and he paid for my kebab.. so yeah, that's how it all began. We just clicked, exchanging numbers and stuff. At first, we hang out as a friend but then things started to get serious after umm after he confessed to me and smooched me so yeah that's pretty much it", Liz explained in detail of what cause her excitement lately.

I was surprised at how quickly their relationship progresses, I couldn't fathom it. From a total stranger to a boyfriend? It sounded like it happened almost immediately. They hit it off without any wait or process.
