Chapter 18: Thanks Kikyou

Start from the beginning

He had a lot of the goods that were in the manual, the things that points were needed for.

He said it himself, he hasn't spent any points. Because class D did it for him

"Eh, it isn't much. Just some logic. I'll just say this, you most likely made a mistake by dealing with Ryuen" I said flatly as he looked at me, still trying to keep his composure

"Why is that....." he said as I shrugged, yet again

"Call it a hunch, I will be leaving now. It was nice seeing you." I said as he slowly nodded, unsure of my words

Me and Kikyou left as she had remained silent for this meeting as well, talking with some of her friends as she asked me on our way back

"So..... what was the point of that?" She asked me as I simply told her

"Finding out class A's leader." I said as she looked at me with wide eyes

"What! W-who was it!?Katsuragi?"She asked as I shook my head

"No Kikyou, it wasn't him, he is too cautious to do that, it was the guy beside him" I explained as she looked at me confused

Katsuragi knew he was too obvious to pick, the leader needs to be capable to be able to maximise the points and as well as be able to occupy spots consistently and be reliable

Katsuragi was all of those things but he could do the same if the person who was the leader was with him.

Yahiko Totsuka was the leader of class A. Over the simple fact that Katsuragi needed someone loyal yet not too well known for the task and Yahiko fit the bill as a mostly unimpressive student who put all his faith into Katsurgi

His action of hiding his pocket solidified it, he had something to hide and that little hint gave me all the information I needed.

"I trust your judgement then" she simply said as she looked back ahead, it lead me to be confused

"Why trust me so easily? Especially when I have withheld information from you and everyone else so much" I ask her out of curiosity

The human brain works weirdly, especially with trust. Some people seem trusting but they really aren't, some people are hard to trust because of their actions. My actions show that I am not someone who trusts yet someone as socially percept as her chooses to trust me

"Huh? Because you are my friend" she said simply as I shook my head

"You have other friends and you don't tell them an ounce of truth, neither have I but still" I said to her, calling out to her logic as she sighed and looked at me straight in the eye

"It's your nature then, you are trying your best to do what you believe is right and I know you won't do anything that isn't. I can feel it you could say" she said as I looked at her nodded

I didn't have any plans to hurt her or anyone in the class so what she said was absolutely true.

Other than that, I trust her to. I just can't tell her to he truth for her sake.

"Alright then Kikyou" I said as I turned away, she looked at me and asked me

"Hey Kiyo, want to go somewhere on the cruise after this exam?" She asked me as I looked at her and asked

"Like where?" I asked her as she put on a thinking face

"How about the movies! I heard they were releasing a new one around the time we get out of this island!" She said with excitement as I nodded

Movies were moving pictures that conveyed a story in a "cinematic" manner. It was something I hadn't tried yet, atleast in a theatre so it would nice to go there with her
