"You should get going now already dude" , Radhav spared a glance at me. "Im still not done with the last two cases. You can leave, I'll finish it within two hours at least" , my eyes remained glued at the computer screen while I tried convincing my colleague to leave. "I'll just wait outside for you. I cannot leave you all alone at this hour of night" , he left with his backpack, and I could see the smile unfolding over his joyous eyes. "Hah this guy, I don't know how to reject him with these constant efforts he makes for me" , I sighed, thinking about the time Radhav asked me out on my birthday and I told him I needed time to answer. It's been two months and he's yet to know my answer. Look at all that cheesy words.

I was actually done with work long back. I was just scrolling through some old chats I sent long long ago, to a certain someone and never got a reply. Someone whose texts I have been rooting for. Maybe it's too bad to keep Radhav standing down there while I waste on my time on something so vague. Even so often that guy does actually rizz me up with his heart-fluttering words. But then I knew I never looked at him more than just a friend. "Let's go let's go. It's already so late" , I hurried inside  Radhav's car while he stood holding the door opened for me. The beaming glint in his eyes didn't go unnoticed.

"You have been working really hard lately. Don't stay up so late at night, you might get dark circles down those pretty little eyes of yours" , I wondered if I just blushed at his words but I'm sure his cheeks caught that red tint the moment I looked and caught him grinning broadly. "Don't you worry, these eyes will prolong it's beauty even if I don't sleep for ten days" , I said, blowing my air in a way of flexing. "Really? I will love that you know. If your eyes remain this tantalizing forever. And I will love it even more if they would have shined even more prettily just for..." , he really had to say that now. With this moonlight flooding the car and him sitting just next to me with his one hand on the steering and the other on the accelerator, looking exactly eternal, he really had to say that again. How do I tell him that I don't love him? I cannot fool him, I can never play with such a good friend but then I don't want to hurt him too. What if he avoids me after I tell him it's a no? Why does he still keep on trying to win over me , how come he still doesn't realise that i would refuse him anyways, after all these months I had kept him hanging?

"I know you said you needed time to answer me. Although it's been some months, I'm ready to give you whatever time you need. As I said, I'm here to wait for you." As his car came to a halt at the corner and my home came into view, I looked at him for the last time before getting off the car and biding him a goodbye. "I'll give you an answer soon." , I said before leaving. The sound of his accelerator racing up disturbed the serenity of the environment. He left. Leaving me baffled. I didn't know how or when to refuse his proposal.

"Oh? Where's my purse?" , I shook my empty hands as if my purse would fall off them. "Where did I loose my purse now? It literally has my phone inside it" , arching my neck back I sighed at the sky. With the slightest hope that it had fallen into the bushes I went near to the bunch of shrubs growing at the pavement bottom and despite the fact that their base was easily observable, I bent down to search through them. It was to no vain. "Maybe I have left in in Radhav's car. But how do I give him a call now! Ahhhh fuck it" , stamping the foot on the ground I turned around to barge in into my house. Thankfully the key was inside me.

It was 1 am at night and as usual, Bangalore streets are huddled with cars of all sorts. Thankfully I lived at a rather placid countryside with nothing but a massive gulmohar tree shading over my roof. The tranquility of this terrain often helped me in my work life. A bike tore past me. Lads these days. As I was about to open my door my heart leaped out of my lips. The bike that blew past me faster than a cheetah was lying on the road with its owner trying to fix his helmet ignoring the fact that he was wounded. I rushed to him, forgetting all about my lost phone and purse. "Hey there, here, stand up and get some water on your wounds, you can wait up a little bit or come-" , what the fuck was I doing, I can't let a stranger get into my house . "Please wait a bit here, I'll bring a first aid box real quick."

I don't know what made me come to a standstill but when he looked up at me , removing his helmet, and beaming a flashy smile , things around me benumbed. Deep dark orbs, absolutely iridescent, a voluptuous curve in his lips forming a grin, square shaped face with chiseled jawline. I was insane. Why was I looking at all that when the person itself held a lot more significance in my life. I couldn't process that I just met him. I was perplexed ? No I was bewildered.

"Wait up, I'll give you the medicine.", I headed towards my mansion.
