"Anywaysss, I'm heading out now so I can find good parking," "Alright I'll see you later. Be safe," I headed out and drove to Drai's and just like o knew parking was terrible. I called Jackie on speaker as I pulled into a spot near the middle. "Hello?" "Hey, y'all got a section or y'all at the bar?" I asked as I grabbed my small wallet to drop my keys and cards in. "Yeah we got a section. You here?" She asked as I walked towards the entrance. "Yeah I'm walking in now. Upstairs?" "Yes ma'am. See you in a sec," she sis as we hung up. "How you doin' beautiful? ID please," the bouncer said trying to flirt. I showed him my ID not really paying attention. He let me in and I rolled my eyes as he laid his hand on my lower back. I moved it and continued on upstairs. When I made it up I sa everyone here, but Jackie's friend, Kayla. I smiled seeing her and hugged her tightly. "Happy birthday boo," I said as she smiled. "Thanks A. Did you see Kayla when you were coming in?" I shook my head as she sighed. I spoke to everyone else and sat down to have a drink. "So what you been up to A? I ain't seen you since the other day. You, Lysh, and Jack disappeared on us," Chelsea said as I laughed trying to deflect. "I just been in the house chilling," more like in Jackie's house. "Mmhm. Let me find out you done upped a lil boyfriend or something," she said as Jackie walked back over. "I guess she stuck in traffic. What y'all talking bout?" She asked sitting next to me. I scooted over some as chels said the same to her. "How y'all just disappeared on us this week," Jackie laughed too, before looking to me. "You dipped off too?" She asked as I almost said duh, but I realized she was deflecting. "Yeah. I was uh, with one of my friends," I said being indirect. Jackie looked at me like I was crazy but u simply laughed. "I gotta pee, Jack come with me?" I asked as she nodded we walked to the bathroom before locking the door behind our selves. "Really? You couldn't be more obvious," she complained as I rolled my eyes. "It's not that deep Jackie," I said as she protested. "You just gotta chill bae," she said as I cocked my head to the side. "Chill? You right. Maybe I need to chill by myself. Cause this shit not working for me Jacqueline," I huffed out as she sighed trying to hug me. "A, c'mon. Don't be like that," she pleaded as I pushed her away. "No! I'm sick of being your damn secret. Love me loud or leave me alone," I said as I felt my eyes start to water. We had been dating for five months now. But she always wanted to keep it private. I get that. But there's a different between private and secret. I'm nobody's fucking secret. "A'ja you know I don't think of you as a secret. I just don't want everybody in my business," she tried to reason but I wasn't listening. "Jackie," I said as the tear fell. She reached yo to wipe it away and I smacked her hand. "I'm done," I said as I tried to walk out. "A'ja please," she begged as I laughed. "I should be the one saying please," I said before walking out and towards the section. I wiped my face and took a deep breath before walking over. "Where Jackie?" KB asked as I shrugged. "She saw someone she knew I guess," I said as they nodded not thinking twice. Jackie eventually walked back over and everyone cheered seeing her carry in two more bottles. Behind her was her friend, Kayla, who I was not fond of at all. She wanted Jackie so bad and her naive ass couldn't see it. "Y'all, this is my friend Kayla. K, this is Chelsea, KB, Alysha, Lay, Sydney, Kelsey, and you know A'ja," she introduced as the girl stood there smiling. "Nice to meet y'all. A'ja, I haven't seen you in forever girl! How's life been?" She asked as I looked her up and down. She know I don't like her ass so I don't know why she was tryna be friendly. "Jackie you ain't get no chasers?" I asked ignoring shorty. Chels raised her eyebrows at me. "Naw. What you need, I cal have a bottle firm grab it," she said as I nodded. "Cranberry & pineapple juice," I said as she nodded flagging over a bottle girl. "A, come here," Chelsea ask as I leaned over. "We don't like her?" She asked making me laugh. "I don't know her well enough to not like her," I said leaving it short as Chelsea nodded. "So we don't like her. Cool," she said as I laughed dapping her up. Chelsea was my dawg for real. "Here B- A'ja," she said almost slipping up as she passed me the juices. "Thanks," I said as she sighed, grabbing my hand and making me stand up. "Y'all. I gotta say some," she said as I looked at her lien she was crazy. Everybody else was doing the same. "I been wanting to tell all of y'all this for a while but I was so unsure because I wanted privacy. Me wanting privacy turned into secrecy which I never wanted. A'ja and I have been dating since April. I put her in a fucked up position, by not loving her loudly and A I swear I'm so sorry," she said looking at me. I froze not knowing what to say. "Wait you're dating HER?" I heard her annoying ass friend ask and I turned to her. "Problem?" I asked as Jackie held my waist. "Chill," I rolled my eyes wiping the stray tear that fell. "Wait so y'all been dating the whole season?" KB asked as Jackie nodded. "Yeah she's mine," she said as I smiled slightly. This wasn't gonna fix everything, but it was definitely a start. We sat back down, and they asked us questions about our relationship.
