"A bit scary, right?" Ezra said as their ship was enveloped in blue-and-white once again, heading back home on their shuttle.

"Terrifying," Kallus replied. He looked at the data disk in his hands. He didn't know whether he was more relieved he was no longer in the ISB or that Cal himself had seemingly faked his death and stepped away from the fight to pursue archaeology of all things.

"Yeah, maybe that's just because she just reminded me of those other Nightsisters that we met on Dathomir," Ezra said, his hand finding the back of his neck, "I mean I shouldn't judge, I'd only just met her. And if she's with Cal she must be really nice too, right?"

"What?" Kallus choked.

"Are you okay? You look really pale!" Ezra laughed, "what other horror stories did Sabine tell you about what those Nightsisters did to us on Dathomir?"

Kallus didn't know how to tell the young Jedi that he had his own horror story about Nova Garon. He thought about the rage on Cal's face that day. Of course that had made him unrecognisable as the man he met on Chopper Base. The two images still clashed in his mind.

"I don't think Merrin is the scary one," he remarked with a shaky breath.
