When I was in middle school, I spent a couple of weeks out of my summer with my Great Grandma Buck and my distant great Aunt Ruth.
I have always had severe anxiety, and I have never done well away from home.
We were in the car on a two hour long ride to the zoo and a hotel room when my Great Aunt turned on the radio. Until then I didn't know she liked Jimmy Buffett.
But she certainly did!
We were jamming out to his music all the way there and all the way back! I even learned a few new songs of his!
It's so easy to get lost in the music when you really feel it. And Jimmy Buffett is so real. Down to earth and genuine in every way.
He made me forget my fears during that trip. He was comforting to me when I felt trapped. That's the kind of power his music has.
