I felt someone grabbing me and slowly, weakly pulling me to them
"Tara"
"Damon you're back" I say smiling
"Yeah and you're drunk. We couldn't find him but I think we're almost there"
I nod feeling more sober hearing him saying Stefan.
"Hi Tara" Elena says
"Hi. Wait happy birthday" I say
"Thanks" she smiles and then kept walking.

I was later going into Damon's bedroom to get some space and a quiet place.
I stood beside Damon's closet and accidentally opened it
Some papers fell down and I looked at them curious bending down. I took them up and it was news about murders and a post it note saying Klaus, I was about to set them up again when I saw even more papers, news.
I took up my phone calling Damon
"Where are you?" I ask
"I'm by the punch"
"Damon I found these things in your closet. Have you been tracking every place Stefan been at?"
"Oh I gotta go. I'm missing ping pong" he hang up
I looked at me phone frustrated and I was going through every newspaper and post it notes he had everywhere on that board.
As I sat there Elena came in looking at me
"Hi...what's that?"
"Damon been tracking Klaus and Stefan. Without telling any of us except Alaric. I knew they been at one place but...they're been tracking him since Klaus took him" i laid some of the evidence at a table next to Elena.
She looked at them with like every emotion she could feel
"Why didn't he tell us?"
"I don't know" I say crossing my arms and shaking my head.
Damon comes in minutes after.
"Why didn't you tell us? You looked for him alone and didn't say anything" Elena says holding up the papers
"Can we not do this right now? I'm having a bad night" Damon leaned towards the door
"All summer, every time I came to you with a lead you made me feel like an idiot for having hope" she walks closer to him
"You were an idiot. We both were" he started walking past Elena
Elena placed her hand on his chest making him stop
"Tell me what you know, Damon"
"I know you need to get back to your party, Elena" He walks past her and closer to me
"We're supposed to be in this together. Why didn't you tell me you've been tracking Klaus victims?!" She argues
"Because they're not Klaus's victims, Elena. They're Stefan's!" He yells
I look at Damon squinting my eyes. Why would Stefan want to kill these people?
"What?" Elena says surprised
"He's left a trail of body parts up and down the Eastern seaboard!"
"No. Damon, you're wrong" I say walking closer to them holding papers in my hand
