Ayumi Sora is a major recurring character of Toaru Kagaku no Code Vader. She is a child error orphan and childhood friend of Kuroyoru Umdori's and Tedashii Hamasaki, three years before the main story timeline.

Etymology

In contrast to Kuroyoru Umdori's define name etymology; joined together, "seabird of the black night."
The Japanese origin of Ayumi defines that of A Sweet Fish, Sora name meaning of that of a Conch shell; Sky. Etymology; joined together, A Sweet Fish Of The Blue Day.

Appearance

Ayumi is a young girl with green eyes and light blue hair. She wears the Agents Education department sailor school uniform, and black skirt. Her most striking notable feature is her dolphin obsession cosmetics, main specially her Dolphin Prop hat, being nicknamed in the story as Dolphin head girl.

• Ayumi constant thinking is inspired by Hitohito Tadano from Komi Can't Communicate.
• The author giving her a unique perspective common sense within the story to showcase that Ayumi has a parallel of intelligent high IQ of common sense but lacking the intellectual intelligence to Tedashii Hamasaki who has a highly IQ of intelligence while at times lacking common sense.
• Ayumi's Name and design Parallels with Kuroyoru Umdori. Haimura Kiyotaka's idea concept designed as a complete opposite to Index and Last Order, someone who does not incite the feeling that she needs to be protected. Ayumi incites the feeling to be protected by many.
• Ayumi Sora and 11 year Tedashii Hamasaki both have something that is basic off Kuroyoru Umdori's New Testament design, Tedashii's white coat that is the same coat that Kuroyoru Umdori wears in New Testament, and Ayumi's Dolphin design is a indication to Kuroyoru Umdori's Dolphin prop.
