Later-

I took a deep breath as I fell into a black room.

"Well?" The main Watcher asked, looking down at me.

"I gained his trust."

"Good. And Scott?"

"Scott knows about this, but not the full truth. I confused him and am on track to making him think that Grian was the villain."

"Okay, now all we need is someone in the other dimension that Grian was split into. The dimension where Scott killed himself and Martyn was left heartbroken. We have to have that Martyn with us since the one here was an idiot and sacrificed himself."

I nodded.

"On it sir."

"Good. Oh, and one more thing."

Rick looked up at the main Watcher.

"Do me a favor and try and split up yourself. I need one of you here, and one of you in the other dimension to try and convince Martyn to do this. It'll be easy."

I got a flashback to before I was a Watcher. Before this place.

I found this when I was only in 9th grade.

And I split myself later in 9th grade. I've been sent through several dimensions, trying to find more recruits and having to repeat things over again.

I've been split, and then been whole again.

Honestly, my real home, the dimension where I started, is long gone.

I've lost...everything because of this.

"Rick?"

I snapped back and looked at the main Watcher.

"Split yourself in half."

I took a deep breath and closed my eyes.

I felt a terrible, splitting pain.

My heart was getting torn into two and I screamed out in pain, it was too much for anyone.

Even for me, who's been doing it for two years.

As soon as the connection had been cut and I opened my eyes again, I quickly shook myself.

I saw my hand glitch in and out of focus.

I turned around and saw my other half.

Despite all the times I've done this...it's sill unsettling. And a part of me wishes I never found this place in the beginning.

A part of me wishes...that isn't what my life was.

"Perfect!" The main Watcher exclaimed.

He snapped and my other half disappeared.

"Good job, Rick. You may go."

I nodded and snapped.

I flashed back to reality, but it didn't feel like it.

I looked up and saw my cat, Wallis.

"Do you ever wonder what my real dimension is like now? Do they think I killed myself or got kidnapped or died? That's what all the others think." I muttered the last part and Wallis meowed.

"Rick! Dinner's ready!" My mom shouted.

"Coming mom!"

I sighed and got up.

When you travel dimensions, everything automatically switches.

Well,

Everything but one item. You can choose one that you want to stay the same.

I took out my wallet and looked at the pictures I put in it.

I smiled softly.

"I miss you, dad. And Martyn...I'm so sorry I did this. Hopefully I can find a way out. Hopefully I can be back home."

I took a deep breath and walked into the bathroom.

I always knew that in the dimensions I travel in, my life can never be the same.

I'm always living with my mom, and Martyn is always with Scott.

But in my home, Scott was with Jimmy, and I ended up with Martyn.

I hope I can have that again.

Oooooo it's getten spicy!!!!!!

Thoughts on Rick!! Do you think he's a good person, or a bad person? Oh and I'd like to know why you think that too.

Also were you expecting Rick to say that he and Martyn were originally together? Was anyone expecting that?

But yeah!!! Things are getting really twisty and Rick's character is having a lot of development. I'm excited :DDDD
