Ch-19 | After School

"here..now what do we need?" I asked him parking the car

"I'll get it myself just stay here" he says getting out of the car

"take this money" I handed him some money from my wallet

"I have enough money I'll ask you if I need it" he says in a cold tone and walks away

"damn it what's wrong with this brat, does he really think that low about me?" I was frustrated at him, how dare he humiliate me

                      after 15 minutes

Niki was walking about of the stationary with a huge smile but as he approached the car his smile turned into a poker face finally opening the door with 2 bags

"here i don't want to be in favour of someone" i said pulling out a few amount of money

"who said i won't ask you money you are paying for the food in the cafe" he says putting on his safe belt and returning the money to me

we finally arrived at the cafe taking out the materials we walked into the cafe without a single word uttered from our mouth, we were never really interested in being out up in for an assignment from the beginning

"welcome to Paradox cafe" the cashier says with a bright and cheerful smile

Niki POV

The cafe had a few students doing their homework peacefully, the cashier stared at Jay for a few seconds and froze

"are you okay?" Jay asked him unfazed

"aren't you that.....twitch streamer?" the cashier points out, i forgot that Jay was a popular twitch streamer and the cashier was a typical teenager

"yeah what about it?" he says with a smile, I have never seen him smile at me and here he is

"i often watch you in twitch you are very talented" here goes the praise, Jay looked so proud of himself

"thanks, anyways can we get a table for two?" he says to the cashier pointing at me

"sure.......so are you guys like on a date?" the cashier asked him, I was on denial the moment I heard date

"no you got the wrong idea we are friends" he laughs it off reassuring him, i swear the spirit of SpongeBob went inside him because if this was the Jay I know he would have punched him in the face

"my bad I'm so sorry bro" he says to the both of us

"no it's fine" I forced a smile

The waiteress took us to our table, it was nice that we were able to seat where we preferred, there was a small book shelf next to my seat

"what can I get for you guys?" she asked us with a smile

"I'll have a strawberry flavour milkshake with choco chips" i said to her with a smile trying to match her energy

"and you what can I get for you?" she says in a bored tone, girl same I don't like him either i thought in my mind

"ice mocha with a lot of whip cream and cookies" he simply says looking at me

"I'll be back with your orders soon" she says with a bow, she gave me a smile before leaving do I know her or something, also who the heck ask for extra whip cream does he want diabetes

"you know her?" he says to me with a glare

"why do you ask? I have never seen her my whole life until today" i said to him in complete honesty
