"Well why don't you invite him over on Sunday? Talk it out with him?"
Scar nodded, "Yeah, okay."
-
"Hey Mumbo." I said, catching up with him at lunch.
"Hey Scar!"
"I was wondering if you wanted to hang out at my place on Sunday."
"Oh, sure! We helping Grian out?"
"Er- I was actually wondering if it could be just...us."
Mumbo blushed.
I love it when he blushes.
"Uh- y-yeah! Let me make sure my mom's okay with it."
"Great!"
Grian then sat down with a depressed looking Jimmy. Kisha joined us shortly after.
"Jim? What's wrong?" Mumbo asked.
Jimmy jerked his head and we all looked over to see Scott chatting with some guy with white hair.
"Oh, Scott has a new friend?" Kisha asked.
"And look at them, they love each other. I should just give up." Jimmy sighed.
Kisha smacked him on the back of the head.
"OW! What was that for?!"
"You are talking yourself down and telling yourself things that you don't even know are true!" Kisha shouted.
"But look at them!" Jimmy said, motioning to Scott and the other guy.
I looked at the guy Scott was talking to and narrowed my eyes.
"What's that guy's name?" Grian asked.
"Don't know." I said.
I hummed before shrugging and letting Mumbo change the subject to something about robotics.
-
"Hey Scott?" I asked as we grabbed our sketchbooks.
We had art together right after lunch.
"Yeah?" Scott asked.
"Who was that guy you were sitting with at lunch?" I asked.
"Hm? Oh, you mean Rick? Yeah, he's super nice!"
I hummed, "Huh...weird."
"Oh, and he agreed to coming with me to Martyn's house on Saturday, so you don't have to."
"Oh...okay."
"Unless you wanted to!"
"No, no it's fine...it'd probably be a lot for me to go back to that house but not see him."
"Tell me about it."
I watched as Scott doodled before asking,
"How are you doing with...that?"
"Well, he's my ex, I should be over him. But...I'm not. I still love him. And Grian told me that he'd always love me." Scott said, smiling faintly with a light pink dusting his cheeks.
"Wait," He said, shaking his head, "That reminds me, what are you and Grian hiding from me?"
"What do you mean?"
"I mean...there's something...weird."
I sighed.
"Here, I'll show you." I said.
I took out a purple-colored pencil and drew an eye.
I then looked up at Scott, who looked confused.
"Yeah, that's an eye. That's the...tattoo that...Grian...had..." Scott kept trailing off, thinking.
He then gasped.
"Wait! Grian doesn't have the tattoo anymore!"
"It was temporary." I lied.
"Pssh, yeah right. Grian acted so weird and...glitchy when he had it. That's no coincidence."
I shrugged and Scott smirked.
"I'm gonna figure it out."
"You do that." I said, ripping out that drawing and throwing it away.
I tried to toss it in, but it didn't make it.
"Ooo, so close."
I continued my talk with Scott, not realizing that someone had come in the class, noticed my drawing on the floor, uncrumpled it, and pocketed it before leaving.
