caecilius x grumio

2:47am.

the little dickies were all up, training.

punching trees wrapped up in togas.

grumio was pacing around their camp.

he had no layout of the emperors Palace, so it would take forever to find him and caecilius.

grumio thought about splitting up, but he doesn't know how to fight.

grumio punches people of course, but what happens if that damage is inflicted upon him?

he's sure he'll curl up and cry.

Tabby JJ walks over.

'grumio sir, we're ready. we've got the knives and poison, Pikkle and Rottley are scouting round the palace. it's safe for us to go to the main entrance now.'

'thank you JJ.'

as JJ backs off to get the others, grumio has never realised how hot he was.

like damn those muscles.

caecilius could never.

no grumio, snap out of it.

he rejoins the group.

'my brotherens, tonight we shall take down the emperor and claim his land and belongings!!'

the rest of them cheered on.

'now, we shall begin our journey into the unknown. I trust you to be rational when making decisions. we shall split up. me and JJ. Mutteray and Pissitzy.  Pikkle and Rottley. if you see a hot ginger man in the Palace, bring him to me.'

Grumio and JJ lead the way.

grumio watches the kitchen.

cooking supplies he could only dream of.

JJ quietly takes down the wonky glass covering the window.

JJ crawls up.

grumio crawls in after JJ. just a bit more- ouch. his stuck. his arse is stuck. too much cake.

grumio tries to wiggle through, to no avail.

'JJ!! help me!!'

JJ comes and tugs on grumios big hairy arms.

5.. 6.. 7.. 8! pull!!

grumio falls onto JJ as he falls through.

grumio gets up, stepping on JJ's hand whilst he does so.

he walks to the doorway.

the corridor is a dark, deep abyss.

grumio could hear cries.

'JJ you wanker, stop slacking and get up.'

JJ limps over to grumio.

they steal a lit candle from the kitchen before they leave, slowly navigating through the darkness.

grumio follows the cries, down 2 sets of rough wooden stairs.

he walks towards an opening, to a dungeon with cellars.

tied up was-

not caecilius.

a young man with striking blue eyes and vibrant blonde hair.

a feature grumio recognised very well.

he continues through the dungeon, deeper and deeper.

at the end, he saw him.

caecilius.

all tied up, soaked in blood.

grumio grabs his knife tight and swings-

knocking down the metal poles intended as bars.

he rushes towards caecilius, dropping his knife as JJ follows behind closely.

grumio kneels beside caecilius, putting his head on his thighs.

'oh my baby.. I'm so sorry.'

caecilius opens his right eye, the left too swollen.

'leave..  shes here..'

'who's here baby? you can tell me'

'uhm sir?' JJ's voice croaks.

'shut up JJ'

'telling your partner to shut up now grumio? I'd expected better.' metellas voice echos through the dungeon.

Grumio turns to see JJ's pale face illuminated by the candle in his hands, metella with a knife by his throat. Grumios knife.

'I knew you'd come here. I knew everything you were planning. Well done grumio, you did well for a poor commoner.'

she waves her hand, Rottley walks in with Pikkle tied up. he throws him towards grumio.

JJ gasps- 'R-rottley?'

metella pushes the knife in deeper. JJ howls, tears stinging his eyes.

'You thought you were slick Grumio. sneaky, to say.  I made sure Rottley got the important inside information jobs. what happened last night? that was all a show.'

grumios heart drops. so the slapping, crying, was all fake.

metella drags the knife across JJ's neck and throws him forward. he lands with a grunt, and falls silent.

'come here grumio. I won't harm you.' metellas voice was so sweet, so mesmerising.

'no.'

'oh. you leave me no choice then.'

Rottley walks forward, metal pole in his hands.

'woah- Rottley what the heck? you're working with her now? seriously?'

'you talk too much for a dead man. this is why I betrayed you.'

one swift movement, Rottley's pole hits grumio on the head, knocking him out in one go.

'let's go princess Metella.'
