Connor leaned forward, "I know where we can go. I have a buddy back at home that we can go to, he's a hunter too. We'll have to go to Dublin in Ireland."

I gave a nod, "we have no choice, we have to go somewhere. That sounds far enough."

We relaxed a little once we had boarded the ferry to Dublin. We decided to take the last two hours of the trip to discuss what had happened and what to do.

Ren began, "Who the hell attacked us? They were human, why would we have humans after us?"

I shook my head, "that's pointless now, we should be more focused on how Soji is alive and that he sent Zoggan to help us."

Connor spoke up, "we can discuss that more at my friend's. He has contacts, they can probably help us find some answers."

We talked very little the rest of the way to Dublin. When the ferry docked we jumped in the truck and left, this time Connor driving.

After a few moments of silence Ren asked, "so, where does your friend live?"

Connor replied as he drove, "outside of Dublin in a summer home in the Tibradden Wood Forest."

I spoke, approving of the area, "that sounds like a good place to stop and hide out for a bit."

We drove for a while down the highway until Connor exited off onto a side road. From there we travelled on a dirt road going into a pine forest. We drove for a while longer until we reached a gated entrance. Past the gate was a large mansion, it was mostly constructed from wood.

Connor rolled down the window and leaned out to speak into an intercom. "This is Connor O'Brian, you remember me, Rory!" The gates immediately opened. Connor was excited as we drove up the path to the house.

As soon as we parked, a man that looked to be about five foot ten walked out to greet us. The way he moved was almost feral. He had dark brown hair that was short but unkempt. Him and Connor embraced briefly, both had huge grins on their faces.

Connor said excitedly, "It's nice to see you again Rory!"

Rory replied, his accent thicker than Connor's, "It's been too long. Who are your friends?"

Ren stepped forward and offered his hand to shake, "I'm Ren Miller, my sister Tara and I have been hunting with Connor for a few years now."

Rory gave a friendly smile and replied, "It's nice to meet you, I've known Connor since we were kids. Our parents hunted together." He then walked over to me to shake my hand. I couldn't help but notice his eyes, they were a light blue with a predator look in them, I then couldn't help but notice the bugger sizing me up. I squared off with him and looked him right in the eye and he grinned, "I think I like her."

Rory gestured for us to follow him into the house, "why don't we go in, Connor. You can fill me in on what happened."
