I need to thank her for that.

She even started taking pills to help prepare her body for all this and even took herself to a doctor to see what she needed to do. I guess I haven't really thought about it but I love that, and just because she didn't know she was already 4 months pregnant at the time doesn't mean anything.

It's the fact that she was going to try for me.

"I'm just glad he seems to be pretty happy again. I know he still isn't completely better but things are looking up for him." Katniss says proudly.

"Okay, well I need to go to work so I will be back around 4ish. Everything you need is in her bag. She ate last at 6:45." Bristol tells her.

"Okay, sounds good. Have a good day." Says Katniss and I hear the door shut.

A few seconds later, Katniss brings Carter in.

"There's your Uncle Peeta." Katniss says to Carter.

She smiles and gurgles a few inaudible things.

"Hey, baby." I say, I can feel my face light up at the sight of my pregnant wife and Carter.

Two of my favorite people.

Katniss and Willow.

Carter.

Not in that order specifically but my girls, are my favorites.

Katniss and Willow Mellark.

My little family.

"Say 'Hey, Uncle Peeta!'" Katniss cheers and Carter just smiles at her.

They come up and I give Katniss a kiss on the forehead, then Carter.

"Are you ready to hang out to today, Carter?" I ask her in a baby voice.

She smiles and blinks her eyes.

"You can be the one to chase her today." Katniss says with a yawn.

I laugh, "Alright. I won't make my 5 month pregnant wife chase her around."

She smiles and hugs me tight.

"I love you, beautiful." I say, before kissing her lips.

Katniss blushes a little bit and I haven't seen her blush in forever.

"Katniss, did you blush?" I hold back a laugh.

She grins, "No."

"Liar." I say, hugging her again.

Katniss just laughs a little bit.

"We need to go buy some food, today." Katniss says, looking in the fridge, Carter in her arms still.

"Okay, do we wanna go together or does one of us want to stay here?"

"Let's go together." Katniss says eagerly.

I nod, "Well, let's wait a little bit. The store doesn't open until 8:30." I laugh.

"Oh, yeah. Sorry." She says, sitting down at the table with Carter in her lap.

I chuckle, "It's okay. Do you want to make a list?"

She nods.

"Here, let me go get you some paper." I say, exiting the kitchen.

I run upstairs into my art studio and grab a pen and some paper and bring it to Katniss.

"Here you go." I say, handing it to her.
