Chapter 10

It was 12:00 and Ellie was meant to be asleep, but she hadn't been able to fall asleep and Brooke had given up trying. So what else would you do when you almost two year old can't sleep? Pack your bags because you have to move.

They were standing by Brookes bed and Brooke had her 'posh' mug in her hand

"Posh, it looks like it's just you, Ellie and me." Brooke sadly smiles, she puts the mug back in her suitcase and pulls out a pink photo album. On the front of it is a black and white photo of Brooke and her name written underneath.

"You?" Ellie asks pointing at the photo

"Yeah, when I was a kid." Brooke tells her, Ellie reaches over and opens the first page revealing Brookes birth certificate. A picture of her when she was a baby and imprints of her baby feet in pink.

"Happy birthday, Brooke." She breaths out "Welcome to 18."

"Your birthday?" Asked Ellie

Brooke nods "and I've certainly made a mess of it."

Brooke is standing in front of the mirror in Rachel's bedroom. She has a pillow under her shirt making herself look pregnant.

"Baby?" Asked Ellie pointing at Brookes stomach as Brooke walks in.

"What are you doing?" Asked Rachel half curious and confused

"Seeing what it was like to be you before the surgeries." Brooke said with a fake smug laugh as she threw the pillow on the bed

"Huh." Rachel said with a fake smile. "You're funny." She added more serious

"No, I'm actually thinking of doing a maternity line for Clothes over Bro's, you know, all the singers and starlets are preggers right now. it's very in."

"Right." Rachel muttered dropping her bag and flowers on her bed.

"Rachel ... you shouldn't have, wow." Brooke says touched as she sees the flowers

"What?" Brooke asks confused

"My birthday, You're the first one to remember." Brooke tells her

"It's your birthday?" Rachel asks

"Or not remember." Brooke muttered

"There from my parents." Rachel sighed "they came with a card that basically said "Glad you didn't die, the Italian Riviera misses you."

"At least they sent flowers ... My parents forgot my eighteenth birthday."  Brooke says sadly.

"Here you go." Rachel says chucking her the flowers "Happy birthday ... and you didn't even have to almost die."

"Second hand dead flowers, thanks." She says half joking half serious "shoot me now." She adds

"Hey." Ellie smiles at Haley as her and Brooke came up to the counter

"Hi." Haley says surprised as Brooke starts walking to the register

"I need to talk to you." Brooke told her

"Uh ... Okay, well, things are a little crazy right now." Haley says

Brook leant in "Rachel caught me making maternity cloths." Brooke tells her quietly

"Brooke!" Haley says in disbelief leading her to the back Ellie running after them. "On the list of people who know about this pregnancy, I'm thinking Rachel's not really on the top."

"I know!" Brooke exclaimed

"Okay, well, calm down and ...does she suspect anything at all?" Haley asks Brooke
