"So it's kinda weird, us... living under the same roof." Brooke said as Lucas drove down the road, Brooke in the passenger seat, Ellie in the back.

"It Isn't that weird." Lucas smiled

"Yes it is." Said Brooke pausing "I mean, who would have thought this could have happened back when... "we were together?" Lucas nodded agreeing the two laughing slightly

"You been talking to Peyton much?" Asked Brooke breaking the silence

"A Little bit." Lucas answers "I wish I was in her life more, you know?"

"Guess I know what loss you'll be writing about for your essay." She smirked

"I lost myself this year, Brooke." He replied "And when I did, I lost the people I truly cared about. Oh, by the way, um,... when we get to New York,... I hope you'll understand if we spend most of our time with Haley. It's just... important that I focus on her today. You know?" Asked Lucas

"Of course." Brooke smiled tightly "Everything else can wait."

The three have arrived at the place where Haley was putting on her show, Lucas smiled pointing to the sold out sticker stuck across the sign. they walked into the backstage area where Chris Keller was tickling Haley, who was lying on the couch. Lucas crossed his arms a disapproving look on his face, Brooke is keeping out of it as it's not her place to say anything, but its clear she is too is disappointed in Haley. Haley looks at them slightly in shock, quickly shoving Chris off.

"Lucas!" She exclaims with a smile getting up, to give him a hug. "Oh my gosh."

"Hi." Lucas said retuning the hug

"Oh, well, it's about time the tribal leaders came to collect their squaw." Chris said from the couch.

"Oh, shut up, Chris." Haley told him

"Yeah." Lucas glared at him, crossing his arms. "shut up, Chris."

"Alright, I'm going." he said standing up, stopping by Brooke "Oh, I see you couldn't stay away from me." he added, Brooke looked at him in disgust and Haley gave him a shove

"Out!" Haley ordered laughing, as Brookes look depend

"I'm sorry." Haley apologized, Hugging Brooke and Ellie "Oh, it's good to see you too, Brooke."

"Yeah, you too, fugitive girl." Brooke chuckled

"Well, so what're you guys doing here?" Haley asked grabbing Ellie from Brooke, for a hug.

"We bought your English assignment." Lucas told her.

"My... Oh my gosh, finals!" she exclaimed in shock "Oh, god, that just feels like a totally different life." she finished as there was a knock on the door, the backstage guy letting him self in.

"Let's go, diva." he told Haley, spotting Lucas, Ellie and Brooke

"Hey, Joey D, this is, um, my friend Lucas and my friend Brooke, and there daughter Ellie.

"What's up, guys?" he smiled "Ah, sorry I gotta drag her away but we've got three meetings and a satellite radio interview. You ready?" he asked Haley

"Um." Haley faked a cough "I'm just feeling a little..." she coughed again "fluish."

"Haley." Joey D questioned

"Yeah, I..." Haley began, as Brooke faked a cough as well.

"It's totally going around." Brooke said with a shrug.

"Cover for me?" Haley asked smiling slightly

"Um..." Joey D began as Haley walked over to Lucas and Brooke grabbing them.
