CLAW

This work seems to change in tone when you view it at dawn or at dusk. It is one of my favorites and it was very satisfying to have it finally done.

I superimposed the same sketch three times to get the claw shape. I did not plan this to be a claw at all. Colours were applied to the backside of the non reflective glass and it took quite a number of layers to fill in properly.

I like using a composition with the mass on top as it allows air running throughout the bottom providing an uplifting effect. It gives the image a life, a transcendence.

This work was created in between'Tsunami' and 'Twins'; there is an absence of calligraphic lines, making this a more classical presentation in my collection- a lack of movement, focus in the equlibrium space and of balance.

This work was done prior to my financial difficulty I encountered in 2014. It still possesses somewhat tranquility and grace. In comparison to 'Chameleon' and 'Jelly Fish', the shapes here are wider and less curled up.
