Chapter 8: Yeah... I Don't Think So

"H-hey! What are you humans doing!?" Helbram shouts before getting hit in the back of head. "Augh!" He hits the ground pretty hard as the humans ruthlessly attack them, making sure not to damage the wings. A second later they start tying them up.

"Alright, I think it's about time for us to step in." Y/n says before jumping down.

"Huh?" Aldrick looks at him. "Who are you supposed to be?"

"It's... It's another human! Har... Fairy King... Please save us!" One of the fairies' shouts before getting kicked. Y/n cracks his neck as Aldrick walks up to him, sword in hand.

"Get lost, this is ours." Aldrick says as he towers over Y/n.

"Yeah..." Y/n sighs. "...I don't think so." Aldrick swings his blade but before it reaches Y/n, he's already behind him.

"Huh?" Aldrick's eyes widen before he turns his head, Y/n's expression is blank, almost bored. "I see, you're a brat, huh?"

"Is that your favorite word? Or are you just that clueless?" Y/n says.

"He's going to kill the humans then kill us!" One of the fairies' shouts before the group of humans surround Y/n.

"Let's make this quick, he probably only has speed on his side." One of the humans says.

"You're right, let's make this quick before King Harlequin gets anymore pissed off." Y/n says as he raises his hands. "I don't even need Dóchas to take you pathetic old men out." He glances between them, waiting to see who'll make the first move.

"You're a cocky brat, aren't you? Take sure out? You're kidding, RITGHT!?" One of the humans says as he and the rest of them all swing at Y/n's exact location. Or at least it was his location when they swung, not even a full second later and that man was in the middle of the group, face down, with Y/n sitting on his back.

"Old men are so slow." Y/n sighs.

"Eh?" One of the humans back away.

"Hm?" Y/n looks at him as he starts running. "Oh no you don't!" Y/n shouts before suddenly appearing in front of him and knocking him clean out with a left hook swing. "Heh." A second later an arrow flies by his face, nearly hitting him. "Oh, c'mon." Y/n catches the next one that nearly hits his temple. "Surely your old man eyesight can't be that bad."

"Whoa, this human is..." Helbram mumbles.

"Listen, boy. I like you." Aldrick says as he sheathes his weapon. "So, let's make a deal."

"Hm?" Y/n turns around, arrow still in hand.

"Surely if you're attacking us, it means you must know how much these fairy wings will make us, right?" Aldrick says. Y/n sighs and starts walking towards them.

"Oh no!" One of the fairies' shouts.

"You'll be useful to have around, and you seem to be the same age as my granddaughter, so how about it?" Aldrick smiles. "Would you like to join us?" Y/n stops nearly a foot away from Aldrick.

"Most people would take that offer, and honestly, I couldn't care less about a woman. I guess you could say I'm not into that kinda thing." Y/n shakes his hand.

"Not into woman? How strange of you." One of the men say. "You'll die alone with that mindset."

"Or I'll die beside the man I love." Y/n says as the arrow that was in his hand ends up between that man's eyes.

"Huh?" Aldrick turns his head to look at his fallen friend.

"And Aldrick, in order for that to happen, I must stop you." Y/n gets a devilish smirk across his face as the last friend of Aldrick suddenly collapses.

"..." Aldrick suddenly swings at Y/n countless times, missing every single time.

"As long as I have something to do about it, these fairies will be returning to their worried king and worried friends." Y/n gets a sadistic smirk across his face. "Aldrick... You have no idea how long I've waited for this."

"This human can teleport! We're doomed either way!" A fairy cries out. "It doesn't matter which one wins!"

"You bastered, you aren't getting anything! I'll kill you!" Aldrick says. "Huh?" He looks around trying to find Y/n who disappeared again.

"A granddaughter you say? Please at least tell me she's sick or something and you wish to save her and getting these wings isn't just for the money but for the medical use." Y/n says.

"I couldn't care less." Aldrick answers as he swings behind himself, attempting to hit Y/n.

"That's unfortunate for you." Y/n sighs as he picks up a bag full of bird feathers. "Collecting feathers?"

"Get away from there!" Aldrick shouts as he throws his blade at Y/n.

"Tch, tch, tch." Y/n drops the bag and drabs the blade. "You're very bad at this whole killing thing, aren't you?"

"He isn't teleporting." Helbram says.

"Hm? So, you are smarter than I thought." Y/n says.

"Huh?" Helbram looks upset. "Did you think fairies were stupid!?" Y/n clears his throat and looks at Aldrick who looks furious. "..."

"When I'm in this state, I can phase through things. Pair that up with my agility, and it mind as well be teleportation." Y/n flips the blade in the air before throwing it at Aldrick who's attempting to sneak away.

"Augh!" Aldrick hits the ground; the blade went straight through his side. "Damnit!"

"I would make you suffer, maybe torture you for a month I know a lot of ways to. But these poor fairies are traumatized enough, I won't make them watch that." Y/n says before tilting his head. "Actually... If I tied you up somewhere and took them back to the forest, I could come back later~" Y/n smirks.

"What's with your deep hatred for me? I've never seen you before!" Aldrick says.

"You traumatized somebody dear to me, killed the people close to him, hurt him." Y/n crouches down on top of Aldrick's back. "And in truth, you're the reason I got to meet him, so I should thank you. And for that I guess I'll end this here and now, much to his displease." Y/n says as he stands up and raises his hand. "Dóchas..."

Dóchas crawls up Y/n's arm and licks his lips.

"Being fairies I'm sure you've seen animals eat other animals; this shouldn't be too scary." Y/n smirks. "Dóchas, Ith é, anois."

Dóchas jumps down onto Aldrick before crawling into the wound caused by the blade.

"Have a nice meal, Dóchas." Y/n says before turning to the fairies. "Now, time to deal with you guys." He walks over to the fairies before Aldrick starts screaming in pain. "Hm? Oh, shut it." He rolls his eyes before crouching down in front of Helbram.

"What are you going to do with us?" Helbram asks, he has distrust in his eyes but it's not as bad as it normally would be. Y/n gets a sadistic smirk across his face, making Helbram incredibly nervous. "..."

"Whatever I want~" Y/n says as he raises his hand, Helbram widens his eyes before closing them tightly and turning his head away.
