CHAPTER 02: New Found Friendship
RYOHEI ABE 阿部亮平's POV
People believed that life is short, that you should live life to the fullest, that you should do things that make you happy but people didn't also know that sometimes life is a bit cruel to some other people who only want to be happy... I couldn't help but sighed once again as I took a sip of my wine as I leaned on the pillar here at the corner of the hall. I still can't believe the fact that I'm so engrossed in that book to the point that it is still in my mind right now and I couldn't help but wonder... I wonder how that person survived to live life like that. You know, living a life that was already planned and controlled by your parents.
"Abe." Eh? And I was back to my senses when I heard Date-san suddenly called me.
"Ah, Date-san. What are you doing here? Where are the others?" I asked as I took a sip again on my wine glass. I thought he was with Hikaru and Fukka? Where are those two?
"Ah, Fukazawa and Hikaru went to the dessert section just now." Date-san said, pointing out his finger to where those two are which made me just nod my head. Ah, naruhodo...
"By the way, is there something bothering you, Abe?" I heard Date-san suddenly ask. Eh?
"Ore? Ah, no, there's none... Why did you suddenly ask?" I said while fixing my bangs. Tsk. I should have straightened it up more before I left the house a while ago. It starts to become wavy again.
"Well... You were in a daze just now." I heard Date-san ask as he crossed his arms on his chest while standing all mighty just right beside me.
"Ah... I was just thinking of something." I simply answered. It's weird if I told him that I was bothered about the book that I read just last night...
"Was it studying?" I'm slowly swirling my glass of wine that I'm holding when Date-san suddenly asked me that, which made me return my attention to him once again.
"Well..." I said as I raised my left hand and gently scratched the back of my head. Shall I tell him the truth?
"Or are you perhaps worried about something?" I heard Date-san asked once again as he furrowed his brows which made me shake my head.
"Hmmm...? No, I'm not. I was just thinking of the book that I read just last night." I said as I gently smiled at him. Really, there's really nothing he has to worry about. Well, knowing Date-san, there's a chance that he already knew right away when a member has a problem, or perhaps, someone was bothered about something... Let's just say that all of us were always observant towards each other, especially with those three who were younger than us, Koji, Meguro and Raul because those three were sometimes secretive and so when that happens, one of the six of us will definitely talk to them but mostly, Sakuma or Shota were the ones who does that...
