"Because I love you!" I yelled.
My words hung in the air as there was nothing but silence surrounding us.
Liam's face morphed into shock and I felt his grip on my arms loosen.
He stumbled from me, as if my words had sent him reeling.
I could feel my heart racing after finally confessing my secret to the one person who seemed have remained oblivious to it.
"I'm here, away from everyone, because it hurts so much to be near you!" I confessed. "It hurts that my Dad, Sara, Danny, nearly everyone knows that I love you, except you, " I told him.
"I can't do it," I shook my head, the first of the tears falling, as I quickly wiped them away. "I pretended to be okay for all my life, I can't do it anymore."
