We Are Done

Don't assume that I am anything.
You don't know me well enough to see.
The darkness in everything.
For you, to seek what is not always me.

Heartbroken over what you said to my face.
Those eyes told me that you are not the one.
Realizing that I really do need the space.
And I told you once before that we are done.

The reality is not something to play games on a heart.
Realizing the truth by reading you like a book,
Already breaking myself apart.
It matters not if I am not what you thought you hook.

Maybe it's something that you will never understand,
But now it's my turn to tell you that it's over.
It's my own life when I choose to take a stand.
I do not need another person to walkover.

Goodbye to the person who hurt me for those words.
Watch me live out my own peace.
Listening to the songs of the birds,
And let my feelings be able to release.
