I wasn't allowed to use my powers according to the government I was 'too dangerous' and if I'm caught using them I'll be thrown in prison, it's not like I helped save half of all life on earth.
Bucky and I lived in an apartment, Bucky had to go to therapy, court-mandated. I was surprised I wasn't forced to go with everything I have done. One day Bucky and I both told each other what happened at hydra for both of us, everything they did everything we did, it was hard for both of us but it was needed.

We slept on the floor in the living room, Bucky didn't want me to but I told him if he was sleeping here then I was. But I almost always woke up in my bed because Bucky carried me there in my sleep.

I opened my eyes and I was somewhere I hadn't been in a long time.

"Bucky." I call and walk down a hall. Screams echoed through the hall. My heart beat faster as I started running. "Bucky. Bucky!" I scream desperately.
Suddenly everything went quiet, there was a open door close to me light was coming from it. I turned and walked into the room. There were five men in suits talking they all turn to me. The lights flickered, screams haunted my mind. I looked around the room again and saw five bodies, there was a woman in the corner, she was crying and staring at me terrified, her body was shaking. She fell to her knees. I look down to see my arm stretched out to her and my hand turning before she collapsed.

My eyes shot open and I sat straight up, my breath was quick I turn to see Bucky asleep beside me and my breath calmed. I looked around the rest of our apartment. Bucky suddenly jolted up breathing heavily. His eyes fell on me I brushed some hair out of my face and realized I was crying.

"Doll?" He pulled me into a hug and I buried into his chest, "You're safe. They can't hurt you."

"You had one too?" I asked when I calmed down. Bucky looked at me and nodded. I pulled him in for a hug. "That's not you anymore."

———

"Therapy, and lunch?" I question Bucky in the morning.

"Yeah." He put on his coat.

"I'll see you tonight, then." I give him a kiss and shut the door.

————

"What are these for?" I ask as Bucky hands me a bouquet of flowers when I open the door.

"Do I need a reason." Bucky gave me a kiss.

"No." I smile. I got a put them in a vase.

We cuddled on the couch waiting tv.

"Did you do any more of the list?" I wonder as lay my head on his chest and he wraps his arm around me.

       "No." Bucky looked down.

"You'll get there, if you need any help with it I'm here." I smile.

————

"Bucky!" I call as I sit in front of the tv the next morning, "You need to see this." He came over sitting beside me.

"What is it?" He asked.

"Just watch." I tell him.

"Unrest, in the wake of recent events has left us vulnerable." The man on the tv announces, "Every day Americans feel it. While we love heroes who put their lives on the line to defend earth, we also need a hero to defend this country. We need a real person who embodies America's greatest values. We need someone to inspire us again, someone who can be a symbol for all of us. So, on behalf of the Department of Defense and our Commander-in-Chief, it is with great honour that we announce here today that the United States of America has a new hero. Join me in welcoming your new Captain America."
I watched is the doors behind the man opened, and a guy wearing a similar suit to what Steve wore walked down, carrying the Shield, Steve's Shield.
