Tobias shifted into his blonde fur and ran towards Alexander who growled and ran towards him as well. Tobias took down any wolf that stood in his way, his chest aching at the loss and all he could see was red. He didn't care about the war anymore, he wanted his mate, he needed his mate, and the beast within him surged forth, its wild rage consuming him. The once-timid wolf was now a relentless force, his eyes blazing with a primal fury as he charged at Alexander.
Lucius turned back to Ruine, whose eyes flickered with a sense of fear at the raw intensity in his gaze. He growled at her, "You will die, but certainly not at my hands," his voice dripped with determination. He gave a subtle nod to a figure standing behind Ruine, and she quickly turned to face Kobus, whose eyes glowed with an eerie violet hue.
Kobus's senses heightened as he faced Ruine, the tension between them crackling like static electricity. His Fae magic hummed beneath his skin, ready to be unleashed. Ruine, her grip tight on her sword, lunged forward with a fierce growl. Her movements were swift and powerful, a testament to her skill as a werewolf warrior.
Kobus deftly sidestepped her attack, his body moving with otherworldly grace. He raised his hand, and a gust of wind swept toward Ruine, momentarily throwing her off balance. She stumbled but quickly regained her footing, her eyes blazing with determination.
As Ruine lunged again, Kobus's eyes glowed with a faint green light. He summoned vines from the earth, their sinewy forms snaking through the ground toward Ruine's feet. The vines erupted around her, wrapping around her ankles and legs, restraining her movements. Ruine struggled against the magical bindings, her muscles straining as she attempted to break free.
But Kobus wasn't finished. With a swift flick of his wrist, he sent a wave of magical energy hurtling toward Ruine. The force of the impact knocked her sword from her grasp, sending it skidding across the ground. Ruine's eyes widened in surprise and frustration as she found herself disarmed and immobilized.
Seeing an opening, Kobus summoned a ball of energy in his hand, its glow intensifying with his concentration. He hurled it toward Ruine, and it struck her chest with a resounding impact. The force of the blow sent her crashing to the ground, her body trembling from the magical assault.
In a final effort, Ruine's eyes blazed with fierce determination. With a primal roar, she began to shift, her body contorting and morphing until she stood before Kobus in her brown wolf form. Her snarl was fierce and primal as she lunged once more.
Kobus raised his hand, a barrier of shimmering light forming before him just in time to intercept Ruine's attack. The impact reverberated through the air, and Kobus's magical shield quivered under the force of the werewolf's assault. With a surge of power, he pushed back against Ruine, his magic overpowering her strength.
A strangled growl escaped Ruine's wolfish maw as she fought against Kobus's magic, her determination unyielding even in the face of defeat. But slowly, inexorably, Kobus's magic began to overwhelm her, the barrier pushing her back step by step.
As Ruine's struggles grew weaker, her form began to shimmer and blur. With a final surge of power, Kobus unleashed a burst of magical energy that enveloped Ruine's wolf form. The air crackled with energy, and then, with a blinding flash, Ruine's brown wolf was gone, replaced by her human body.
Ruine knelt on the ground, her breath ragged and her strength depleted. Her gaze met Kobus's, a mixture of exhaustion and resignation in her eyes. "May the moon bless my wolf," she whispered, her voice carrying the weight of a warrior's farewell.
