Sobrang swerte ng mga taong mapagkkuwentuhan ng mga bagay na nangyari sa araw nila, and if one you’re one of those lucky people, I hope you’ll treasure that person, and sa mga hindi naman nakabilang sa mga “lucky people” na iyon, I hope you find a space to tell your stories.
I have a friend na super takot mag-overshare kasi she thought na there’s nothing special about her story and baka makulitan lang yung tao sa kaniya, and if you’re someone that has the same mindset as my friend, I want to tell you that your story is worth telling. Although we are standing on the same planet, we are living in different worlds, and every world is worth exploring. You don’t realize how comforting it was to hear someone’s story, even though it is not unusual, especially when it is not unusual.  Your story may feel ordinary to you, but it may appear extraordinary to others. Thus, the next time you have a conversation with someone, be confident in sharing your story; this will help to create a “safe environment” for people to share their story with you, connecting you both on a deeper level.

From the bottom of my amygdala, thank you for sharing your wonderful story with me.
