The closing program was victorious. Napakanta at napasayaw pa namin ang mga prof namin sa DMS but Miss Cruz didn't dance nor sing. She remained silent in her seat kahit ilang beses itong hinila ni Miss Marie at Miss Luiz.
Matapos ang event ay umuwi na agad ako sa condo unit ko sa Rockwell para makapagpalit. Dad's secretary sent me the address at ito rin ang kukuha sa akin dito sa condo ko.
"Miss Mascarpa, I am already outside." The secretary said as soon as I picked up the phone. I went out and saw him standing outside of the car.
"We are already here Miss." He declared and went out and opened the car's door for me.
"Thank you, you can leave now." Utos ko at pumasok na sa isang magarbong restaurant. Lahat yata nang nandito ay naka pang formal and semi casual attire. Buti na lang at nagwhite dress ako.
"Reservation of Dela Torres" Saad ko sa reception giniya naman agad ako sa pinakacorner na table na may dalawang lalaki.
Bakit dalawa ito? Papipiliin ba ako kung sino ang mas gusto ko?
They both stood up nang makita nila ako.
"Hi I am Jack your date for tonight and this is my brother Jester he has a date also, but his date will be running late." We shook hands after exchanging greetings.
"That explains for the four chairs in one table." I said as I sat down.
"Hope you don't mind that this is a double date?" Jack uttered and I smiled at him to reassure him that it is okay.
"I don't mind at all." Tho I do mind it but since I have no choice now but to go with the flow.
"I am sorry for being late." Said by someone at my back who has this familiar voice to me. I turned around slowly, like a slow motion in the movie I saw her beautiful face.
"No, it's okay babe kakarating lang din ng date ni Jack." Jester stood up and pulled a chair for Miss Cruz sa katabi kong upuan.
"Thank you." Said by her as she was sat down.
"So Kaethrein, how old are you? You seem so young bagay sa kapatid ko." May panunuksong tingin na saad ni Jester. I can feel her burning gaze on me. I didn't expect na magkikita kami rito and she has a boyfriend called Jester. Pangit ng callsign nila babe. Ew.
"17, first year college taking BS Statistics." Maikli kong sagot at nakatingin lang ako sa ka date ko ayokong lumingon sa katabi ko dahil parang pinapatay niya na ako sa tingin at ayaw ko rin tumingin sa Jester na iyon dahil naaasar lang ako sa pagmumukha niya.
"I am 20 years old, 3 years older than you." Jack shared with a smile pero wala akong gana para makipagplastikan sa kaniya. My mood shifted when I saw that Jester put her hand above my professor's hand.
The date went on and on about the businesses are parents have, hindi ako masiyadong nakikisali dahil wala na talaga akong social battery. I've finished already my food at plano kong mag cr muna at pagkatapos ay magkunwaring may emergency para makaagpaalam na umuwi narin.
"Excuse me, I'll go to the restroom first." I didn't wait for their response and just went on my way.
Pagkapasok ko sa restroom ay agad akong naghugas ng kamay. I looked at myself in the mirror. Malayong-malayo ang itsura ko kung ano ang itsura ko kanina na nasa university pa ako. I feel like expensive the way I dressed tonight. I am expensive, but I don't show it off to people.
"Mascarpa." Napapikit ako nang marinig iyon. Sinundan pa talaga ako rito.
"Miss stop bothering me please." Pagsusumamo ko. May boyfriend na pala siya pero sinabi niya kanina na gusto niya ako? Ang kapal din naman niyang gawin akong kabit.
"I can't do that." I can hear the hurt in her voice kaya pinili kong hindi siya tignan. My walls are breaking when I heard her hurting but I need to stop myself. She's my professor and she have a boyfriend. Although she has the potential that I can like her or maybe I already liked her, but I cannot let my feelings prevail it will backfire to me.
"Excuse me." Nilagpasan ko na siya and I was thankful that she didn't stop me, but I can feel that she's following me. I went to the table para kunin narin ang gamit ko.
"I am very sorry everyone, but I need to go now I have an emergency." For the second time I didn't let them respond and just went out immediately.
Ng nasa labas na ako ay nagpatawag na lang ako ng taxi sa security guard.
"Let me drop you off." I didn't notice na nandito na pala siya sa harapan ko. I was about to decline it, but she cut me off before I can even speak.
"Please." Wala na akong nagawa kundi sumunod sa kaniya at maglakad sa parking lot. Marupok din pala ako sa kaniya.
We went inside the car, and she started to maneuver it.
"This will be the last time I will be riding this car." I whispered but I know she can hear it.
"Why is that?"
"You have a boyfriend Miss and you are dropping me off. Me the one that you claim this morning that you like. That's cheating." She chuckled and it was so beautiful to hear.
"I am not taken Miss Mascarpa but if you would say yes to me then I will fucking declare to the world that I am yours and I am bind for you forever." Matigas niyang sabi kaya napairap ako. So, who is Jester in her life? Kung makababe parang siya talaga yung boyfriend. Nakakapikon.
"Please don't curse." Yun na lang ang nasabi ko.
