Balloon sat watching the night sky, careful not to have the spikey grass pop him. He thought about his alliance, how day by day it felt like Nickel was stringing him along. He had nowhere else to go though. No one liked him, not after everything he had done. Except for... "Balloon?" A soft voice called out from behind. He turned around and smiled as he saw Suitcase, a good friend amongst (sus) all this craziness. "Hi, Suitcase..." She waddled over and sat down next to him. "May I sit here?" "Yeah... I'm just thinking..." Suitcase tilted her head. "Thinking about what? Is everything alright?" Balloon sighed. And looked at the sky, the stars twinkiling back. "No.. I'm worries about the alliance, it feels like Nickel and Baseball don't appreciate me at all!" Suitcase frowned. "I don't think they like me all that much either..." Balloon sighed. "I hate this... no one will approach me anymore. I want to try to mend my friendships but I... feel like they weren't even friendships to begin with. And now I'm alone! With no one to listen to me, or care for me, or-" "I care..." Suitcase said warmly, "And I'll listen..." Balloon blushed and stared at her. Her eyes had a welcoming twinkle to them. It felt... like genuine kindness... something Balloon hadn't received in a long time. He had to admit he really liked spending time with Suitcase, she was the only good thing about the alliance, and further-more, the game. "You're a wonderful person, Suitcase..." Balloon said. Suitcases eyes lit up like stars. She slightly blushed and looked away. Despite her shy core, she cuddled up to Balloon. The two watched the stars and moon, bringing warmth to eachother through the cold dark. Balloon would crack jokes so he could see Suitcases smile. And all she wanted was for him to be happy.
