Hey all!! So I've been so absent from this site (other reasons) AND ALSO really quiet about pushing the sequel on my other platforms. Wanted to say it's not because I forgot about readers who are excited for the sequel, but because it was giving me massive anxiety to push the sequel.
Basically Amazon dungeoned the first book for 3 months, and I had a DREAM launch, in terms of social media. I was just so excited to see people talking about my book that I forgot to pay attention to sales. Lo and behold, sales were NOT great for how MANY people were pushing this—even less sales than The Silver Ones, even though this one was more popular. It's probably from being dungeoned (had it listed as romantic erotica in one category, Amazon bots flagged it and then I got it fixed after 3 months, but damage was done) ANYWAY, as I'm getting closer to launching Jane, I got massive anxiety because I'm doing soooo much more for this launch. I'm investing time, money, etc to just try and have a really nice launch and my brain is latching to the fact that Ryder didn't perform how it should have for how much it was going through social media and people sharing the book organically. Logic says it's the dungeoning, but anxiety is a whole other beast 😂
Also, I'm almost 30 weeks pregnant with my first after pregnancy loss, and oh man these hormones do NOT let up when anxiety is at play.
