Chapter 22: Second chance

" So what's new and exciting in your and Casey's life?" Cameron asked. I sighed.

" Nothing really, school for me and work for Casey." I said.

" How's about you guys?" I asked.

" Go to school then work." Cameron sighed.

" Fun eh?" I said sarcastically.

" Yep." Cameron murmured. Casey came back followed by Thalia, Tyler, Ryan, Lucy, Sarah and....Alex?. Lucy was 6 months along now and had a baby belly.

" Hey guys." I smiled hugging each of them.

" So what's going on between you too?" I asked suspiciously between Alex and Sarah. They blushed.

" We're um together." Alex coughed.

" Awww but what about Cole?" I asked confused.

" He was cheating on me." Sarah said quietly.

" I came home from your guys' party and he was in our room, in our bed, fucking Brittany." She said flatly.

" I'm sorry." I immediately said. He shrugged.

" I ran out and bumped into Alex and we talked and then...started dating a while later so if it wasn't for Cole cheating on me, I would have never have started dating Alex." She explains sweetly.

" We'll I'm happy everything worked out." I smiled. The doorbell rang again and I answered it this time.

I opened the door and my dad was standing in front of me.

" Happy thanksgiving!" He exclaimed and hugged me.

" You too." I said.

" Come in." I murmured moving so e could get in.

" Nice house." He commented.

" Thanks." I said smiling.

" You know, I'm really sorry." He suddenly blurted.

" I know dad, otherwise we wouldn't be here." I reassured. He smiled.

" I love you son,"

" I love you too dad."

We walked into the kitchen.

" Hey Walter." Casey smiled hugging him.

" Hey Casey, everyone." He said nodding to everyone. Cameron had his arm around Keegan and Keegan leaned in closer. Keegan still is hesitant about our dad but can stand him at least so that's good.

" Let's eat!" I declared as I put the turkey on the table. Everyone sat down and began eating.

45 minutes later everyone was done eating and just chilling.

" So what are you getting Casey for Christmas? It's less then a month away." Ryan asked. I looks over my shoulder and Casey was outside with Nix so I leaned in.

" We'll I'm thinking of getting her just small things like clothes and a necklace or something." I shrugged. I ha another plan, but it has to wait now.

" Oh cool." Ryan said as Casey came back in.

" Gah I'm so stuffed." Casey groaned flopping down beside me.

" Ya us too we better get going." Thalia and Tyler said getting up and everyone else agreed.

" Alrighty see you guys later." I called as everyone left.

" That went well." Casey murmured.

" Ya." I agreed. I suddenly remembered our earlier discussion. I found our house phone and dialled the doctors office number.

" Hi I'd like to schedule an ultra sound appointment." I said to the receptionist.

" Alright what's the name?" She asked.

" Casey Scott." I said.

" Alrighty how does January 1st at 4:00 pm sound?" She asked.

" Perfect." I smiled.

" Thanks." I said as I hung up.

" January 1st at 2pm." I stated.

Casey smiled and intertwined our fingers.

" I can't believe it." She sighed.

" What?" I asked.

" We got a second chance at starting a family." She smiled.

" And it's not gonna get messed up this time." I vowed.

" I fucking promise."
