she's been sitting at the kitchen counter, staring at her phone for the past hour.
anxious nerves have been filling her, making her fidget and become more stressed by every passing second that goes by.
a part of her wonders if she should be listening to her mind that's telling her that he's not really sick.
with a sigh of defeat, she grabs her phone and clicks onto the contact name that keeps stressing her out.
she not only needs to tell chris what's going on, but if he really is sick, she's worried about him in that sense.
either way, she probably needs to have this conversation.

AFTER A WHILE, LILY AND and chris are still talking through their texts, an hour later.
the conversation between them completely distracts and comforts lily from her earlier concern.
although he's unintentionally able to take her mind off of her worries that she's been stressing over, later that night, while in bed, she can't help but feel sick to her stomach from the tied knots in her stomach.
she wonders if maybe she should hold off. or maybe she doesn't even want to tell him because that's stressing her out.
she also feels very pressured by their friends to tell him the truth—they're unintentionally doing it, but still.
for the rest of the night, lily is restless, tossing and turning with her brain filled with stressful thoughts.
