Party Plans

Aether POV:

"Aether! Hurry up we're gonna be late!"
"Sorry! I'm ready now"
I rushed out of my room and Lumine and I went to school.
The school day went by pretty quickly, I'm glad too because now I can go to the park with Lumine, Venti, Chongyun, Xiangling, Xingqiu, Hu Tao, and Xiao.
Lumine and I walked to the park with Venti, Xiao and Hu Tao rode together in Xiao's car and Chongyun drove Xiangling and Xingqiu over.
"Heyy!!"
Venti waved at the rest of them when we all met up in the park and after a while of just talking we all randomly hung out, Venti and Hu Tao were being stupid and messing around in the playground and Lumine was gossiping with Xingqiu while Chongyun and Xiangling ate some fruit they brought.
"You're awfully quiet"
I turned to Xiao and smiled softly, he sighed and rested his head on his arm.
"I don't feel like socializing much"
I nodded my head and looked over at the playground to see Venti and Hu Tao running over to us.
"We just had the bestest idea for another hangout!"
"Hm? What is it?"
Lumine questioned
"Well Hu Tao brought up that Halloween is only a month away! So I thought maybe we could have a Halloween costume party! Just us eight!"
"That'd be so much fun!"
Xiangling cheered, and everyone agreed, except Xiao. He was staring at Hu Tao with an 'i don't wanna go' expression.
Hu Tao went up to him and sat by us with a cheerful smile
"Oh come on Xiao! It'll be fun, you're going aren't you Aether?"
"Yea I am"
"See"
Hu Tao smiled and Xiao turned his head away from me so only Tao could see his face.

Xiao POV:

My face burned bright with blush as I glared at Hu Tao, I didn't want you to go and she knew that.. I dislike parties... However if Aether's there I guess it wouldn't be so bad. I looked down at the floor
"Fine I'll go"
"Yay!"
"That's great Xiao! What are you gonna be?"
I turned to Aether in shock
"I'm not dressing up."
"Aww come on bro! We could match as vampires it'd be so cool!"
Hu Tao nudged me with her shoulder then she turned to Aether
"What are you gonna be Aether?"
Aether made a puzzled expression and held his chin
"Umm.. I'm not sure maybe a zombie.. but like a realistic-ish one..?"
"Ooh that's cool"

A few minutes later the sun started to set and everyone left, Hu Tao and I were driving home when she suddenly began talking
"You like him don't you?~ admit it!"
I blushed and focused on the road
"Come on Xiao be honest!"
"..I'm not sure, he makes me feel..."
I paused and groaned in frustration
"Words can't explain.."
"Aww my dear brother's in love!"
"How'd you find out you liked Yanfei?"
"Uhh I guess I just knew? I'm not sure, but I'm almost 100% positive you like Aether"
She teasingly smiled at me and I pulled into the garage.. I turned off the car and sat in my room alone... This feeling is so odd, it's like.. a craving? But for a person.. ugh whatever
I rolled my eyes in annoyance that I couldn't find an exact answer and then got ready for bed, then while I laid in bed a notification went off on my phone.

Ventii: umm I'm planning for the party rn.. do u guys drink? 😗

My eyes widened

Xiao: no.?

Tao👻: U DRINK? THATS SO COOL OMG

Ventii: I'm gonna assume I'm the only one and change the question, would any of u be willing to drink at the party..? U guys could even spend the night after 🥹

Xianglingʕ⁠'⁠•⁠ᴥ⁠•⁠'⁠ʔ: uhh I don't think I will

Lu✨: I'll try a little 🤩

Tao👻: ILL DRINK WITH U BESTIE 😍

Xiao: no you're not.

Tao👻: shut up mom 🥱

Yun❄️: I don't drink but Xingqiu said he would.. he's also half asleep though so no promises

Ventii: KAY WHAT ABOUT AETHER THEN 🥰

Lu✨: he fell asleep, but he probably would try a little bit too

Ventii: soo the people who are gonna drink are me, Hu Tao, Lumine and maybe Aether and Xingqiu, right? 😝

Xianglingʕ⁠'⁠•⁠ᴥ⁠•⁠'⁠ʔ: yup

I looked down at my phone in slight worry.. Venti doesn't come off as a responsible drinker, and if my sister drank she'd be drunk and loopy no doubt.. Lumine, Aether, and Xingqiu though I'm not sure... I'm still concerned they're going to try alcohol at our age but I have no control over their decisions..
I turned my phone off and went to sleep
