The sun's rays emerging from the closed curtains gently kissed my face. The events of the previous night lingered in my mind, the mysteries and uncertainties tugging at my thoughts. Glancing beside me, I saw Yui still deep in slumber, her peaceful expression betraying the turmoil that lay beneath the surface.

She's been through a lot here... and yet, Father doesn't even make sure she's going fine.

Careful as to not disturb her, I quietly slipped out of bed and made my way to the window, drawing the curtains aside to let the sunlight flood the room. The view outside revealed the vast grounds of the Sakamaki mansion. A garden full of roses can be seen from Yui's room.

I opened the glass door to the balcony, looking at the forest close to the mansion. As far as my eyes can see, there is a sparkling source, a lake, the bluest I've ever witnessed.

The sight of the shimmering lake amidst the dense forest was captivating. The sunlight danced upon its surface, casting a golden glow that seemed to infuse the surroundings with a serene energy. The gentle rustling of leaves and the distant chirping of birds added to the tranquil ambiance.

Leaning against the balcony railing, breathing in the fresh high noon air, it was a moment of respite. A temporary escape from the mysteries and uncertainties that awaited within the walls of the Sakamaki mansion. The beauty of nature served as a stark contrast to the darkness that loomed within, reminding me that there was still light to be found amidst the shadows.

My stomach growl. Even the bits of cookies earlier this morning was devoured. I left Yui's quarter in silence and ventured downstairs, looking for the kitchen.

Reaching the ground floor, I finally arrived at the kitchen. It was a spacious room, adorned with sleek countertops and state-of-the-art appliances. The room seemed almost out of place in the otherwise gothic mansion, a modern sanctuary amidst the ancient halls.

I began rummaging through the pantry and fridge, searching for something to satiate my hunger. The shelves were stocked with an array of ingredients, both mundane and exotic, a testament to the opulence that the Sakamaki family possessed. It was clear that no expense was spared in catering to their culinary needs.

Mmm... a soufflé would be nice.

As I gathered the ingredients, I couldn't help but feel a sense of unease, a prickling sensation at the back of my neck. What we've discussed ealier still resided in. It was as if I were being watched, scrutinized by unseen eyes. I shook off the feeling, chiding myself for succumbing to paranoia in such a lavish setting.

As the food sizzled on the stove, filling the air with mouthwatering aromas, I couldn't help but wonder about the werewolf incident.

Will it be like The Twilight Saga or what? Vampires live a long life.. how did they not discovered yet? How did Father Komori even has relations with them? Did he know that he entrusted Yui with a bunch of vampire weirdos?

Pondering this unanswerable question, I failed to notice the figure that had silently entered the kitchen. A voice, soft like honey, startled me out of my reverie. "Preparing a sole breakfast, are we?"

I turned to see Laito and Kanato standing there. Laito wore his usual playful smirk, while Kanato clutched his beloved teddy bear tightly, his eyes filled with a mix of curiosity and suspicion.

"I wouldn't usually call this breakfast though... but, I'm making some soufflé. Do you want some?"

Laito's eyes sparkled with mischief as he leaned in closer. "Oh, I would love to partake in your cooking, Miss Sweetheart. I'm sure it will be quite... delicious."
