(Artemis pov)
"Do we need to restock on anything? Clover walked into the back and asked
I put the lid on the coffee I was just making "uh- I believe just ingredients for food, Davis said we were running low"
Clover wrote it down on their note pad "once you're done giving out the coffee and foods to the remaining customers, have Shizu start cleaning and you can come back here to me"
"Alright, I believe this is the last thing since Shziu hasn't given me any new orders, so it should be fast" I say picking up the coffee and leaving the back
"Hey Arty" Shziu said, they were at the first desk
"Hey, can you start cleaning?" I asked
"Sure don't have any customers left other than database" Shizu said and walked to the back to get the cleaning supplies
"Datebase?" I ask but it was kinda too late
I walked over to the table "here you go"
"Thanks, didn't know how many of you worked here" he said
"Well it is a club" I say
"I guess so, odd clubs this year" he says and takes a sip of the coffee
"Do you like it?" I asked
"Yeah, it's good" he said
"Oh! Uh- as much as I would like to chat with you I need to go help Clover" I say and run off
(Database's pov)
'odd... But this is his job' I drank more of the coffee
"Hello!" I turned to see Shizu waving and me before cleaning the tables
"Should I go?" I ask
"Well its not closing yet, we are just getting stuff done early since it seems like no one else is coming" they explained
"Can I ask you a question then?" I asked
"Uh- sure?" They answered
"Artemis, I don know much but where did he come from?" I asked
"An orphanage, why?" They asked
"Just making sure, there are a lot of students and Kowalski once did get some kids mixed up so I try and make sure" I explained
"Oh well yeah Artemis came from Lillian's Orphanage" They said
"What about the orphanage?" Artemis came out from the back
"Oh, Database was just making sure everything in the files was correct" Says Shizu
"Oh- okay" Artemis said and opened the cash register
"And you were living with your mother correct?" I asked
They sighed "yeahhh"
"Thanks" I say and get up from the table and leave
If I'm being honest, I didn't need to fully ask, but one, I needed a lead on Artemis and two... Kowalski did mess up some of the kids files last year so he doesn't do all of them anymore
But I guess I'm going to be visiting Lillian's Orphanage soon
