CHAPTER 6

Hindi ba ako nakakaabala?

"Are you hungry?" basag niya sa katahimikan ko.

"Kumain po ako sa coffee shop, Ma'am," I answered. "Kayo po?"

"A bit but don't worry once I drop you there I'll make sure to eat at fastfood"

No, it's late and she needs to eat.

Dumating kami sa bahay, it's very late na but Ma'am Vivien really insisted na ihatid na ako dito. Nag-aabang ang parents ko sa labas ng gate expecting us to arrive. Bumaba agad ng sasakyan si Ma'am Vivien and she opens my door para makalabas ako.

"Thank you for bringing our daughter here, Ma'am." Dad said expressing her gratitude to my professor.

"No problem, Mr. and Mrs. Mercedez. She's my student and it's my responsibility to make her safe." Ma'am Vivien said.

"Ma'am if you want dito nalang po kayo kumain" I offered.

"Yes Ma'am, you're welcome here and also may utang na loob kami sa inyo." Dagdag ni mom.

"If you don't want then it-

"Sure, why not?" putol niya sakin with no hesitation.

Iba din pala si Ma'am, akala ko mahihiya pa siya ih.

Pumasok kami sa loob, sabay kami ni Ma'am Vivien pumasok na sumunod kina Dad. Ang swabi ng ngiti ni Ma'am habang inilibot ang tingin sa loob ng bahay namin.

"This way, Ma'am." I said guiding her to our table.

"Thank you," she exquisitely replies wearing her smile.

Iginiya ko siya sa table at kinuha ang upuan and then I offered her to seat.

"You're such a good daughter, Ms. Mercedez." She compliments.

"Inaasikaso ko lang po kayo, Ma'am." I replied.

Nasa kitchen pa sila Mom and Dad para kunin ang pagkain kaya kami ni Ma'am Vivien ang naiwan sa table.

"Swerte ng magiging asawa mo, you have a kind parents, and I'm sure that whoever that is she's lucky." Wika niya while staring at my eyes.

Swerte talaga si Ma'am Rhea sakin.

Dumating ang parents ko dala ang niluto nila saka ako na personally ang naglagay ng kanin at ulam sa plato ni Ma'am Vivien and she's letting me. Nakangiti lang ito sakin in every move I made kahit kaharap niya ang parents ko.
Nagsimula kaming kumain at sarap na sarap si Ma'am Vivien sa luto ni mom. Hindi naman nagtagal kumain si Ma'am kasi she needs to go home din after ng dinner but my parents and her had a little chitchat bago ko siya hinatid sa sasakyan niya.

"Thanks for the dinner it was so good, " she express.

"You're welcome Ma'am at salamat po sa paghatid sakin dito, you can comeback her anytime you want." I replied.

"I'll sure to comeback here and next time cook for me. Anyways see you at my class tomorrow, be sure to be present."

"I will Ma'am, thank you and take care."

Sumakay na siya sa kotse at pinaandar niya na sabay bukas ng window shield at kumaway sakin. Ngumiti ako sa kanya at pinanood ang sasakyan niyang lumabas ng gate hanggang sa nakalayo at hindi na ito maaniag saka ako pumasok.

I'm really glad that Ma'am Vivien saw me dahil kung hindi baka hanggang ngayon hindi pa ako nakakauwi. Pero kahit ganun wala akong makitang ano mang paghanga kay Ma'am Vivien, except for her voice.

Nakahiga na ako while iniisip ang tagpo namin ni Ma'am Rhea. Through our brief conversation, my desire for more of her company intensifies. All I yearn for now is her undivided attention kahit iniwan niya ako sa coffee shop with her sassy attitude.
