Two Way Entry One Way Exit

Being with you is never a dull moment

I arrived at the address sent to me and even though I was not expecting much, I was also not expecting to be standing in front of an abandoned building.

Was I being duped? Was this a prank? Was Leon playing a joke on me because it would actually be funny.

But it will also be funny if they found his lifeless body dumped in the river.

"Hey!! You made it. I thought you would get lost."

"Yeah I made it. And you are lucky you are here cause I was kinda planning ways to hide your body after I murder you for ditching me."

He was so lucky, I was seconds away from leaving and declaring war on him.

"Am sorry. I had to walk here and I kinda miscalculated my arrival time and thus I was late for our first date ever."

This guy never misses a chance to remind me just how poor he is.

"You should have asked me for a ride since we were going to the same place."

"I don't like relying on other people. Am used to having only myself to rely on and plus our houses are on different parts of town."

Coward. That was what he was. He was scared of the results he would get if he asked for help.

"I think what you are trying to say is you hate asking for help."

"I guess so. I don't have to ask for help every time am in need when there is a very easy solution for it."

"Well if you don't want to ask for my help then I'll be offering it for free then you won't be asking for help from me."

"I won't argue with you on our first date so I will just agree with it. We should go inside, wait till you see what is waiting for us inside. Your mind will be blown away."

True to his word, the inside did blow me away.

How can an abandoned building be this beautiful on the inside?

It was like an arcade of all you can imagine.
There was a movie theatre, a fast food inn, a game theatre, a restaurant and I know there was so much more in here.

"I should give you a tour. What do you wanna see first?"

"I want to go up on the roof."

"Why the roof?"

"I wanna see the sunset from up there."

"I did not know you could skate like a pro."

Apparently there was also an ice skating tract in there and it was amazing to say the least.

"And I did not know you could eat like a pig."

I swear this guy ate two large pizzas all alone and only took a break to drink a soda.

"And I can't believe you only ate a salad and drank only a smoothie, aren't you hungry by now?"

"Am okay, I ate more than I usually do when I eat normally plus am kinda on a diet so am avoiding anything junk."

"You sound like Tracy. I swear every girl I talk to is on some kind of diet to either gain weight or to lose it."

In this moment, I regretted asking Leon if he wanted a ride home. I felt like driving us straight into a ditch without the slightest of hesitation.

"Well am so sorry to disappoint you but am not like these other girls. I do not care if am chubby or skinny. I am comfortable with however my body wants to look like. Am on a diet because am running a marathon in a couple of months to raise money for kids with cancer all over the world."

Since daddy dearest decided to freeze all of my accounts, this was the least I could for all those charities I support.

"Sorry for assuming things. Can you tell me why you live alone in such a big house?"

I remember a time this question used to make me want to cry but now it seemed like any normal question for me.

"My dad is a very busy man and he is always travelling from one country to another so its rare for him to be home."

"Oh!!! No wonder you are so rich."

"You actually bought that bullshit?"
I could not help but laugh at his naivety.

"What?"

"My dad is rarely home cause he hates me. He thinks am the reason for the death of my mother and sister so to prevent seeing me everyday, he works 24/7 to completely avoid me. I can't even tell you the last time we talked."

"Oh, you must feel bad knowing that."

"No. I actually prefer it this way. Instead of seeing the sadness of losing his wife and daughter everyday knowing it was my fault, I'd rather not see him at all."

"Well, I guess we both have daddy issues but you are lucky you don't have to see your dad everyday."

It was silent for a while.
Honestly, sometimes I miss my dad. Not this strict, emotionless one. I miss the one who used to braid my hair, sing for us, cook tasty dishes and kiss me, Josie and mom every chance he could get.

"You can drop me right at that supermarket.....my house is not far from here but I have to get some stuff for my sister."

"Okay"

I parked the car at the closest place to the supermarket.

"I had lots of fun today Reese. Being with you is never a dull moment. Hope we will get to do this again very soon."

"I hope so to Leon. Am glad to learn about such an amazing hang out place."

I wanted to kiss him so bad but I did not want my first kiss to be on my first date so I gave him a kiss on the cheek instead.

"I will be planning our second date."

"Can't wait for it love."

"Okay then. I will be seeing you on Monday so have a great weekend."

"What? You don't want to see me tomorrow?"

"You want to go on another date tomorrow? So soon?"

He started laughing and I wondered what was funny.

"No silly, I'll see you tomorrow at the party at your house, I wouldn't miss that."

Party? Tomorrow? What the hell!!!!!
