I smiled deviously to myself as I mused. I am going to find James after school and invite him to my annual back to school party this weekend, he is going to say yes, and we will live happily ever after.
(James POV)
What. The. Heck. Just. Happened.
I ran my hand through my hair and looked in disbelief as Jinx walked down the hall. I tried to stop her but I just couldn't.
"Why was she crying? And how the hell did Alexandria get dragged into this?" I thought to myself in confusion as I walked down the hall.
I looked down and saw that there was a piece of paper that had been left behind when Jinx dropped her things. I turned it over.
"Hm.." I thought as I read it.
It was a poem, or lyrics to a song.
"You are the beauty to my scars,
you unbroke my heart,
and you have to see
what you mean to me
together we are unbreakable,
unstoppable
together we are unbelievable
and we are capable
of changing the world,
we will make our voices heard."
"Wow, this is incredible," I thought to myself and tucked it into my back pocket. I was immediately reminded what had just happened and I got angry all over again.
If Jinx isn't going to talk to me, which is not going to happen if I had anything to say about it, I had to talk to Alexandria and find out what happened.
I mentally replayed what Jinx hand said and I stopped in my tracks as I remembered something she said.
"I won't be getting in the way of you and Alexandria, you deserve each other."
Damn, did she think I was interested in her? Did she see us talking in the hall way?I sighed softly and punched one of the lockers, leaving a slight dent in the metal. I stormed out of the building with the loud sound echoing through the halls. "Screw 4th period, I can't deal with this right now," I thought as I pulled the fire alarm on the wall.
The high pitched sound started up and kids came rushing out of their class rooms. I walked out into the parking lot and got into my car. I would wait until I saw Alexandria and I would question her about what she did to make Jinx so upset.
(Jinx POV)
I was standing in the girls bathroom wiping my eyes when the fire alarm when off. I groaned and leaned against one of the stalls.
Fire drill, that means tons of kids in the halls trying to get out of the building first to save their own ass. I couldn't go out there, not with all of those people. I would wait for a few minutes for most of the kids to leave.
I took deep breaths and rolled my shoulders.
"You can do this Jinx, it's just a few people. No one is going to touch you, it's fine. Just do it, just go."
I opened the door and walked out. There were maybe a 50 or so kids trying to get out of the building and I sighed with relief.
When we finally got out side I went to sit on the hood of my car as security cleared the campus. When I saw James sitting in his car I did a mental face palm and looked away, acting as though I hadn't seen him in the first place.
