"I know that he can take care of himself but he's my brother and I worry about him sometimes. He could really use some time for himself."

I nod. "Everything will work out in the end." At least that's what I tell myself.

"How's things with you and Francisco?" I ask.

"It's harder to stay away from him than I originally thought. We keep having...moments, shared glances. At the ball he kissed me again and truthfully I didn't want him to stop. He keeps trying to corner me and get me alone but I'm avoiding him because I don't trust myself to be alone in a room with him." She says. "How about you, please tell me you have a better love life than I do."

"Me and my fictional book boyfriend's are doing great."

After my conversation with Vanessa I spend the rest of the day lazing around and feeling guilty for doing so.

I've been here for like three months and it feels like all I'm doing is wasting time. It's not even as though I'm relaxing, taking a nice break. No, I'm constantly on high alert and can't for the life of me seem to relax. I can't let my guard down for even a second.

As the sun sets the atmosphere gets cooler and the day turns to night.

I lie awake, trying to get to sleep, in my bed for what has to be hours until I've finally had enough and decide to get some warm milk as it's meant to help you sleep. I've tried it before and the majority of times it's significantly helped.

Frinkles is already fast asleep in his cat bed in the corner of the room so I quietly make my way past him and into the hall.

When I enter the kitchen I see Nathan asleep with his head rested on the table in a position that looks less than comfortable.

"Nathan?"

"Hm?" He mumbles quickly sitting up straight and blinking away the blurriness of just waking up.

"Why are you sleeping out here?" I ask.

He looks around for a second, confused as to where he is. He looks to the table, at the laptop and papers infront of him before realising. "Oh, August asked me to print some things off for tomorrow but I couldn't find the printer cause it's one of the ones you can move around. So I was copying down all the stuff we need but it's like 10 pages." He explains. "Why are you up so late?" He asks with a yawn.

"I couldn't sleep, I came down to get some warm milk." I state.

I get the milk out of the fridge and put it in a mug before warming it up.

"Goodnight." I say to Nathan when I'm done.

"Goodnight Cassie."

"Good luck." I say before leaving. He's going to need it to hand write all of those pages.

I take my milk back to my room and take small sips of the hot liquid before trying to sleep again.

♡♡♡

"Blaine." I say from behind him and he freezes.

"Cassandra." He says turning around to meet my eye. Why does this dude never call me Cassie?

I caught him just after he'd left his room.

"I was thinking maybe we could train today?" I say.

"Why?" He asks, clearly shocked as I've never been the one to initiate training.

"Well we haven't done it in a while so I was just thinking we should."

More like your sister is worried about you and thinks you need a break so I'm trying to get you to do something less stressful.
