"Give him a chance Blair." Xander catches me off guard.

"Why should I?" I ask.

"Because he is your brother," He stated. "He thinks what he is doing is for the better," Xander suggested.

"That's just not good enough," I mutter. "Now where is Malikis body?"

"I'll give the location to the police. I don't want you getting caught up in all of this." Xander replied.

"I'm already involved." I expressed with a sigh pushing the fallen hairs out of my face.

"I won't let any of this fall back on you Blair. If I have to ill take anything they try to throw on you." I smile at him appreciative of his words.

"Thank you, Xander." I thank him feeling a slight sense of relief.

"Get out of here kid. I'm sure it's only minutes before he storms out here and tries to get you on his side." He puts his hand on my back walking with me.

"Do you honestly think what he is doing is right?" I look up to him for an answer.

"No. But I'm his best friend and practically one of the only people besides you that cares for him." He has both disappointment and a relaxed look on his face.

"I wish I could be as supportive as you are but I can't bring myself to." I stop walking he follows my actions facing me fully.

Xander nods. "I know but just don't cut him out all the way. Give it a few days and come see him at least." He straightens out his suit jacket.

"It was nice seeing you Xan," I say honestly.

"You to B you have grown so much since the last time I saw you." He ruffles my hair and I laugh throwing my head back. When I bring my head back down I fix my hair to its original position.

"Yeah well the last time you saw me was when I was eighteen and still had my braces on." I lean on the front of my feet kissing him on the cheek.

"You stay safe alright. If you need anything then you call me right away don't hesitate. I mean it." He leans down returning the kiss onto my cheek.

"I will." I motion to the guys to follow me. We walk through the building passing many people who were focused on working. Some look up but look straight back down when we meet eyes.

We get to the entrance of the building the three of us walk to the front door. "Are you okay Blair?"

"Yes, just my brother being a total douche." Levi brings the car around stopping in front of us. "Enough of that we need to go get a place for us to stay."

"We can find our own places to stay," Marcus says opening the door for me.

"Nonsense you are helping me. As long as you are okay with it I think it would be lovely for you to stay with me." I slide in Marcus following and Joseph gets in the front.

"We are fine with whatever makes you more comfortable." I smile nodding. "Where are we off to now?"

"You guys up for ice cream?" I ask all three men.

"Sure but may I just add you pay us to protect you not to get ice cream." Joseph turns his head slightly looking at me.

"But what fun would that be? I have hardly any friends that live in this town so from now on you are being paid to be my friends." I smile brightly all three of them chuckling. "What is so funny?"

"We would be your friend for free." Levi takes a left turn.

"Well if I would have known that I would have stopped the checks from going through." we all laugh.

I've grown a connection with each of the three. Levi took this because his daughter has leukemia a year into knowing him he took me to see her. She is such a good-spirited little girl.

Marcus is the same age as me so he was looking for work and was having a hard time up until Levi approached him. Later on, Marcus came clean telling me he was on the verge of being homeless when I offered the job position.

I've known Joseph since I was a kid and reconnected with him when we ran into each other on the street. He was hesitant with involving himself because of all the connections he has in this town but ultimately agreed to still stay by my side.

As time went on we became closer they started to feel more like brothers than people I was paying to keep me safe. They have all confessed they would work for free but I know they all need the money for different reasons.

"What is going on in that big head of yours?" Marcus tapped the left side of my head. I swat his hand away.

"My head is not big." I scold him.

"Whatever you say." He rolls his eyes which resulted in me pushing his shoulder. I shift my body sideways lifting my feet and placing them on his lap.

"Im gonna take a nap, wake me when we are there." I shut my eyes leaning my head on the headrest.

"Will do."

"Something tells me we are staying here for longer than planned." I hear Levi say.

"Don't worry buddy ill give you all a raise for the delay. I need you guys more than ever." I open my eyes, Joseph and Marcus, staring directly at me. "The past is coming to bite me in the ass."
