We pushed into the room, finding that the Keepers were in their portraits unlike the last time we'd been here. I smiled, watching as they glanced curiously at the door that appeared to have opened of its own accord. They whispered amongst themselves as Sebastian flanking right, and I to the left, descended into the chamber and walked swiftly towards each of the outer portraits.
Professor Fitzgerald, whom I had always liked the most of the Keepers due to her more understanding nature of my questions, was glancing around confused, her eyes searching for the disturbance she wouldn't be able to find from her stationary portrait.
Wasting no time to feel sorry for the woman, I raised my wand, and hoped it would work.
"Imperio!" I whispered the word, flicking my wand in the familiar motion the spell required.
The warm sensation of power swept over my body, spreading through my veins, my magic screaming in delight as it's venomous grip over me tightened. Disillusionment charm broken by the use of my spell, Professor Fitzgerald's eyes widened for a fraction of a second before her face went slack in her portrait, her eyes shining with a bright green ghostly glow as I stole her ability to think for herself.
"What is this?" Professor Rookwood bellowed from his frame, his face trained on the portrait next to him and then landing on me. "What do you think you're doing?"
"Imperio!" I said again, silencing the man who's bloodline had caused so much destruction. My body was alive with the feeling of taking his free will for my own, a twisted delight that I couldn't help but think was just how I was meant to exist. This level of power, this level of control over these remnants of life past left me craving more. I wanted to control more than portraits, and I wanted to feel that power grow.
A hand grabbed my arm roughly, spinning me into a broad chest, resulting in a moan escaping my lips when I saw the desire on Sebastian's disillusioned face. His eyes were glowing, telling me mine must be too, eyes reflecting the power and control he was yielding, his face alight with pleasure. His lips crashed onto mine with such a force that I was jutted backwards momentarily.
The hunger behind his lips was second only to the power dripping off of him, making the magic inside of me swell and grow. This kiss felt different, but oddly familiar, a dream stirring in the back of my mind. I ignored this feeling and relished the power he was radiating as his hands explored my body.
He was in his element, as much as I was.
Dark.
Powerful.
Sinful.
But so, so right.
"You were magnificent, my love," he coaxed as he broke the kiss, and trailed his finger down my throat over the scar there. "What do you want to do first?"
I turned to look at the Keepers, to debate what exactly I wanted to ask, but was stopped when he closed his hand on my jaw and turned me roughly back to face him.
"Don't tell them. Tell me."
"I want to know everything," I gasped as his lips traveled down my neck, his hands still traveling over my body. I moaned as his hand traveled over my breasts, his fingers quickly undoing my tie and ripping open the top buttons of my shirt. My own hands found his shoulders and pulled him closer through the intense pleasure the combined force of his lips plus the pulsing magic through my body. "I want to know what they aren't telling us about my powers."
Sebastian growled in his approval, pulling me impossibly closer to him as he kissed down my neck to my chest, his lips leaving a trail of burning kisses as he went.
