“Dad please let go of me,”

Becky pleads in a cry.

She tries to flee from David’s grip.

Because, if she will not follow Freen now, she thinks she will lose her.

Freen will be gone in Becky’s life.

Becky wants to run to Freen, to hold her and never let go.

Becky wants to follow Freen, to assure her and make her believe that she is the most important person in Becky’s life.

Becky wants just to be with Freen, to pour her love and just give Freen everything she deserves.

Freen completes Becky.

That is why….

Seeing Freen’s back facing her.

Freen walking away from her.

Crushes her heart.

Becky’s life ended when she heard the loud slam from downstairs.

The loud slam of their door.

This sound that means one thing…...

Freen is gone?

Freen is gone.

Freen is gone!

The message reaches her neurons and…

Becky lost everything in that instance.

She lost the sight of everybody. All she sees is Freen’s back fading like a silhouette. Getting smaller and smaller every blink she makes.

She lost her sense of smell, the refreshing jasmine summery scent that defies Freen is fading.

She lost her sense of hearing because Freen’s giggles and ‘I love yous’ are replaced by fainting sobs.

Losing Freen means Becky lost everything.

Becky is trembling.

Her knees gave in.

As she fell on the ground involuntarily.

Tormented.

Shattered.

And broken.

David feels Becky sliding down from her hands.

He widens his eyes.

This sight of Becky wounds him.

His eyes display guilt and pity.

What has he done?

David can’t take this.

So, he clenches his jaw and turns his back from Becky.

And walked away.

He tries to convince himself, that he has made the right decision and Becky should thank him.

Becky will not understand it just yet, but eventually, she will.

She will.

David says in his mind, though all of him knows that this defense mechanism he is trying to put up is the ‘wrongest’ thing possible.

He just says it to reason out to himself.

Trying to prove that he is right though factors and evidence state he is not.

Charlotte immediately runs to her sister to hug and comfort her.

She shushes Becky, letting her little sister cry in her arms, trying to offer strength and understanding.
