Four years later

As the song 'rubber man' was playing, Peter was energetically singing along to it "sing it drax!" Peter shouted without knowing that drax was asleep "why are we doing this again?" Rocket asked "its a distress signal, rocket. Someone could be dying" Gamora said "I get that, but why are we doing it?" Rocket asked "cause we're nice." Peter said

"are you sure? I thought we were only doing it for the money?" Donnie asked with sass in his voice while sitting in his seat the wrong way, drawing. "That isn't the point, donnie" Gamora said "that isn't the point. I mean if he doesn't pony up." Peter said "we take his ship" drax said "exactly!" "Ba-ba-bingo!" Peter said as he looked at Gamora and shook his head "we are arriving" mantis said

"alright, guardians, don't forget this might be dangerous so let's put on our mean faces" Peter said as groot and Donnie looked at each other, rolling their eyes. "Groot, put that thing away, now. And Donnie sit right. I don't wanna tell you guys again" Peter said as they didn't listen to him "guys-" Peter said "I am Groot" Groot said as Donnie began laughing

"woah!" "Language!" "Hey!" "Wow" "got some acorns on you, kid" Peter said as Donnie scoffed "teenagers: just the worst" Peter said "ever since you got little saps, you've been total d-holes. Now, keep it up, and I'm gonna smash that thing to pieces!" Rocket shouted as they entered to where the destress signal was located "what happened?" Mantis breathed out as she saw millions of dead body's floating in the air

"oh, my god" Peter said "looks like we're not getting paid" Rocket said before one of the dead bodies landed on their ship as the they all exclaimed "ew" Donnie said with disgust in his voice "wipers! Wipers! Get it off!" Rocket shouted as the man opened his eyes

"How the hell is this dude still alive?" Peter asked once they had gotten him on the ship "he is not a dude. You're a dude. This...this is a man. A handsome, muscular man" drax said "I'm muscular" Peter said as Donnie lightly laughed "who are you kidding, quill? You're one sandwich away from fat" Rocket said "probably more like a pepperoni" Donnie said as Peter scoffed

"yeah, right" "it's true, quill. You have put on weight" drax said "what?" Peter asked softly as drax gestured to his double chin and belly "Gamora, do you think I'm-" Peter asked in disbelief "he is anxious, angry. He feels tremendous loss and guilt" mantis said "it's like a pirate had a baby with an angel" drax said "wow. This is a real wake-up call for me. Okay. I'm gonna get a bowflex. I'm gonna commit. I'm gonna get some dumbbells" Peter said

"you know you can't eat dumbbells, right?" Rocket asked "it's like his muscles are made of Cotaiti metal fibers" Gamora said while touching his muscles "stop massaging his muscles" Peter said as she dropped his arm with a thud "wake him up" Peter said as mantis put her hand on his forehead "wake" she said as the man suddenly jumped up and breathed heavily while they all exclaimed. "Who the hell are you guys?" The man asked in a deep voice

"The entire time I knew Thanos, he only ever had one goal. To bring balance to the universe by wiping out half of all life. He used to kill people planet by planet, massacre by massacre." Gamora said "including my own" drax said "if he gets all six infinity stones...he can do it with the snap of his fingers like this" Gamora said as she snapped her fingers. "You seem to know a great deal about Thanos." Thor said

"Gamora is the daughter of Thanos" drax said as Thor looked up "your father killed my brother" Thor said as he got up "uh, oh" donnie said "stepfather, technically. And she hates him as much as you do." Peter said as Thor put his hand on her shoulder

"families can be tough. Before my father died he told me that I had a half-sister...that he imprisoned in Hell. And then she returned home and stabbed me in the eye. So I had to kill her. That's life though, isn't it, I guess. Goes round and round...I feel your pain." Thor said "I feel your pain as well, because...I mean, it's not a competition, but I've been through a lot. My father killed my mother. And then I had to kill my father" Peter said as donnie rolled his eyes

"that was hard. Probably even harder than having to kill a sister. Plus, I came out with both of my eyes, which was..." Peter said but was cut off "I need a hammer, not a spoon." Thor said as he walked towards their pod "how do I open this thing? Is there some sort of, uh...A four digit code, maybe? Maybe a birthdate." Thor mumbled "Uh, what are you doing?" Rocket asked

"taking your pod" Thor answered as Peter cleared his throat "no, you're not." Peter said in a deep voice as donnie covered his mouth as he laughed "you will not be taking our pod today, sir" Peter said "uh...quill, are you making your voice deeper?" Rocket asked "no" "you are. You're imitating the god-man. It's weird" drax said "no, I'm not" Peter said as mantis gasped "he just did it again!" "This is my voice" Peter said as Thor got in his face

"are you mocking me?" "Are you mocking me?" Peter copied "stop it. You did it again" Thor stammered "he's trying to copy me." Peter said with a smirk on his face "enough!" Gamora shouted "he's doing it first." "We need to stop Thanos. Which means we need to find out where he's going next." Gamora said "Knowhere" Thor said "he must be going somewhere" mantis said "it's a place, mant" donnie said "yeah, we've been there. It sucks" Peter said as Thor opened their microwave

"excuse me, that's our food." Peter said "not anymore" Thor said "Thor, why would he go to Knowhere?" Gamora asked "because for years...the reality stone been safely stored there with a man called the Collector." Thor said "if it's with the Collector, then it's not safe. Only an idiot would give that man a stone" Peter said "or a genius" Thor said

"how do you know he's not going for one of the other stones?" Gamora asked "there are six stones out there. Thanos already has the Power Stone...because he stole it last week when he decimated Xandar. He stole the Space Stone from me...when he destroyed my ship and slaughtered half my people. The Time and Mind Stones are safe on earth. They're with the Avengers" Thor said "the avengers?" Donnie asked

"earth's mightiest heroes" "like Kevin bacon?" Mantis asked "He may be on the team. I don't know. I haven't been there in a while. As for the Soul Stone, well, no one's ever seen that. No one even knows where it is. Therefore Thanos can't get it. Therefore he's going to Knowhere. Hence he'll be getting the Reality stone. You're welcome" Thor said "then we have to go to Knowhere now." Gamora said "wrong. Where we have to go is Nidavellir." Thor said "that's a made up word." Drax said

"all words are made up" Thor said "Nidavrllir is real?" Donnie asked in surprise, he used to have a friend that would tell him all about the legends of Nidavellir. He wish he could be here so he could tell him it was real. "Seriously? That place is a legend. They make the most powerful horrific weapons to ever torment the universe. I would very much like to go there, please" rocket said "the rabbit is correct and clearly the smartest among you" Thor said "rabbit?" Rocket asked

"Only Eitri the Dwarf can make me the weapon I need. I assume you're the captain, sir" Thor said, referring to rocket "you're very perceptive" rocket said "you seem like a noble leader. Will you join me on my quest to Nidavellir?" Thor asked "let me just ask the captain. Oh, wait a second, it's me! Yeah. I'll go." Rocket said "wonderful" "uh, except for that I'm the captain." Peter said "quiet" "that's my backpack" "go sit down" Rocket said "look, this is my ship. And I'm not goin' to...Wait, what kinda weapon are we talkin' about here?" Peter asked "The Thanos-killing kind" Thor said

"don't you think that we should all have a weapon like that?" Peter asked "no. You simply lack the strength to wield them. Your bodies would crumble as your miles collapsed into madness" Thor said as Donnie jokingly flexed his "muscles" at groot as groot laughed "especially you" Thor said as he pointed at Donnie "asshole" Donnie mumbled "language" "is it weird that I wanna do it even more now?" Rocket asked "mmm, a little bit, yeah" Thor said "if we don't go to Knowhere and Thanos retrieves another stone, he'll be too powerful to stop" Gamora said "he already is" Thor said

"I got it figured out. We got two ships and a large assortment of morons. We split donnie and groot up so they don't goof around. So me and groot will go with the pirate angel here. Then Donnie and the morons with go to Knowhere to try to stop Thanos. Cool? Cool." Rocket said "so cool" Thor said "for the record...I know that you're going with him because it's where Thanos isn't." Peter said

"You know, you really shouldn't talk that way to your captain, quill. Come on, groot. Put that game down. You'll rot your brain" rocket said as they got in the pod "i bid you farewell and good luck, donnie and the morons" Thor said as they left
