CHAPTER 9

[CHAPTER 9: Candidate]

"Ay, promote ko na rin ang prestigious event ng college department!"

Alam ko na agad ang tinutukoy ni Alice. Ito ang sinasabi ni Minghao na Royalty Clash ng college department kung saan per year ay may tinatanghal na King and Queen, just like a normal pageant.

"Royalty Clash!" masayang anunsyo ni Alice. "Besides having the title, the trophy, the sash and the crown of the champion, and the responsibilities your title will give you... this year's event will grant the Kings and Queens access to the vault of the school!"

Napa-wow si Minghao roon habang napataas lang ng kilay sina Bella at Wonwoo. Kami naman ni Seokming ay napatango-tango lang.

"The vault of the school?" manghang ulit ni Minghao. "Isn't that where all of the special treasures of the school is hidden?"

"Yup, and you know how much the students would love to see that! Kahit kaming Council ay hindi pa nakakapasok doon!" masiglang singhal ni Alice.

Bella just nodded at her words and then procceeded on finishing up the application for this school year's Supreme Student Government.

"How about you, Bella? Hindi ka ba sasali?" tanong ng isang lalaking kasama ni Alice. "You have a good-looking face and... body..."

I feel disgusted over that! Hindi sa panghuhusga pero parang manyak ang lalaking ito!

Bella felt that as well and annoyingly glanced at him, "what a pervert."

"Sungit naman! Kapag ikaw talaga naging girlfriend ko!" mapang-asar na sabi nung lalaki at nagsikuhan sila nung lalaki niyang kasama.

"In your dreams." tanging sabi ni Bella bago ibinigay kay Alice ang papel at naglakad na palayo roon.

Wonwoo gritted his teeth before asking Alice for the same application form Bella just filled up earlier. I waved goodbye to Alice and... to Minghao before quickly followed Bella who's now about to go to Seungkwan and Kyra.

Mukhang nasiyahan ang dalawa sa miniature kaya hindi na nakabalik sa amin sa counter. Bella didn't interfened them though, she just remained standing behind them.

Tumabi naman ako sa kanya at ginaya ang postura niyang naka-slant ang isang leg at naka-crossed arms. Napansin iyon ni Bella kaya bahagya siyang napatawa. Hinampas pa nga niya ako at mas lalong natawa.

There you go! Forget about that pervert and smile!

"Ikaw talaga... alam mo kung paano ako pasisiyahin," natatawang sabi niya at bahagya akong niyakap.

"Syempre! I'm not your bestfriend for nothing!" proud kong sabi.

"Then can you tell me if you have a beef with Mingyu and his friends?" tanong niya na ikinatigil ko naman.

Kanina ay naantala ang pagsabi ko sa kanya tungkol sa pagkagusto ko kay Minghao, pero hindi ko inaasahang mas una kong masasabi ang nangyari sa amin nina Kimberly bago iyon.

"On my first day, I bumped into Kimberly, causing the both of us to fell down and spilled her drink over us." panimula ko. "Syempre, hindi ako nagpapatalo sa ganyan. You know how much I hate people looking down at me for some petty reasons."

"So you fought back?" tanong niya.

"Yes, I did!" singhal ko. "Hindi ko siya hinayaang bully-hin ako ng ganoon! Wala akong ginagawa sa kanya, hindi ko sinasadya ang nangyari. I even said my apologies with sincerity, but she just... ugh!"

"Calm down. Tell me what happened next," aniya at pinakalma ako.

"Then... Seokmin saw what's happening so he stepped up for me and helped me settle things down with Kimberly but that bitch is just horrible!" nanggigil kong kwento. "Seokmin got wet because of the throw Kimberly aimed for me. Muntik pa akong maligo ng juice non! But despite of Seokmin's heroic move, my shirt was still wet. Jeonghan helped me after break since he saw what happened as well."
