Y/N is in her hut sleeping while hugging a pillow, Newt comes in to check on you before going to his hut to sleep, he notices your arm around something but he doesn't see the pillow, he shakes you awake heartbroken thinking you're cheating on him, when he sees that you're awake through tears he says "Who is that?! who are you cheating on me with, huh?!" With complete utter confusion you say "Cheating on you? What are you 'bloody' talking about?" bloody you say quoting your boyfriend, Newt gives a momentary look of annoyance he wasn't about to lose focus and give into a weakness of his, he always found it cute when you used one of his classic phrases, but he wasn't falling for it, "Who the bloody hell do you have your arm wrapped around?" he asked upset, you gave a 'what the shuck' look as you realized what he was upset about then ripped the blanket off the pillow. Newt's eyes widened in embarrassment 😳 you put your top lip over your bottom one as you looked at Newt and said "Yeah" exasperated, after Newt left embarrassed. The next morning you see Newt in the garden you approach him, he sees you and stares down a second with his arm pointed down and his hand on his neck as he says "Hey Y/N", you say "Hey Newt", he starts in slowly with "So about last night" "Yeah what was that about, do you really not trust me?" you ask, "No I do trust you, I just, I just" he stuttered, "Because if any of us should be worried about the other cheating it's me" you say "What do you mean by that? do you not trust me?" he questions raising his eyebrow with his arms crossed. "No, I don't trust the girls in the Glade, like Emma, Cassidy, Sierra" you say trying to hide an embarrassed smile, "Why not" Newt says with a half smile thinking he may know or have an idea of what you're saying, "Look at yourself! You are HOT, you could have any of the girls here,there have been more and more coming up from the box, and you somehow for whatever reason choose me to go out with, to date, to kiss, and to call your girlfriend, I wouldn't risk that, I would never even have interest in anyone else here.'You' are the one I want" you finish saying through a blush that you can't hide anymore 😊. Newt smirks at you blushing himself, "Is that really what you think?" he starts "Look Y/N, Cassidy, Sierra and Emma, they're pretty I guess, but you're beautiful, funny, sweet, and have the prettiest and cutest smile I have ever seen" a single happy tear rolls down your cheek as you smile, Newt takes a few steps toward you grabs your face and kisses you, after you say "Newt, I- I love you" he either smiles at you while blushing and says back "I love you too Y/N" then you kiss passionately Later that day Newt retells the story to Minho and says "The other day Y/N and I said 'I love you' for the first time" Minho looks a little confused "And this all happened while you 2 were talking about how you thought she was cheating on you? Man, you 2 are a very sweet and interesting couple"
