The life of a pack was intriguing to observe. The pups scampered around the buildings, spreading their infectious joy and carefree attitude. Seraphina couldn't help but smile as she watched the little balls of bliss. Up here, on the edge of a cliff casting a shadow over the eastern border of the Coriellis pack's territory, she felt on top of the world. This secluded spot was her secret sanctuary, where nobody dared to disturb her. However, her smile faded as she noticed one of her brother's trusted enforcers making her way toward her.

"Luna Seraphina, your presence is required in the Alpha's office," the assistant spoke, carefully tucking her medium-length dark brown locks behind her ear.

Still seated on the cliff's edge, her legs dangling freely, Seraphina sighed. The responsibilities of being both a Luna and a healer often overwhelmed her. After her brother had asked her to assume the role of Luna, she was expected to transform into a nurturing figure for the pack overnight—a nearly impossible task.

The weight of her brother's request to become the Luna had been an immense burden on Seraphina's shoulders, particularly after the tragic death of their mother. She had admired her mother's grace and wisdom, and now, in her absence, the pack looked to Seraphina to fill the void. It was as if she had to step into her mother's shoes, embodying a maternal figure for the pack members, all while grappling with her own grief.

At the young age of nineteen, Seraphina found herself thrust into a position of leadership she felt ill-prepared for. The sudden loss of their mother had left the Coriellis pack in disarray, and Lucas, struggling to navigate his newfound role as Alpha, turned to Seraphina for support. She became his confidante, his advisor, and the voice of reason when his decisions faltered. It was an immense responsibility that Seraphina had never anticipated or trained for.

In the beginning, Seraphina had doubted her abilities to lead. She had watched her mother handle pack affairs with grace and confidence, and in comparison, she felt inadequate. But she couldn't let her doubt show. The pack needed her strength, her unwavering resolve to guide them through the darkness that had befallen them. Seraphina had spent countless sleepless nights pouring over her mother's journals, absorbing her wisdom and teachings, seeking guidance on how to heal the fragmented pack. She had learned the art of herbal medicine, becoming the pack's healer, tending to their wounds, both physical and emotional. And slowly, over time, she began to find her own path, her own unique way of leading.

However, the weight of expectations and the enormity of her responsibilities sometimes overwhelmed her. There were days when she longed for the freedom and carefreeness of her youth, when she could chase after her own dreams and desires without the weight of an entire pack on her shoulders. The dual role of Luna and healer demanded her constant attention, and it often left her with little time for self-care or personal pursuits.

As she sat on the cliff's edge, contemplating the assistant's words, Seraphina couldn't help but feel a pang of exhaustion deep within her. The pack relied on her for stability, for guidance, and sometimes it felt like she was drowning under the weight of their expectations. But she couldn't afford to show weakness. She had to be strong for them, to lead them with unwavering determination.

With a sigh, she pushed herself up from the cliff and made her way towards the pack house, steeling herself for yet another challenge that awaited her. She knew that being the Luna meant sacrificing her own desires for the greater good of the pack. And as she walked through the pack members, their heads dipping in respect, she drew upon her mother's strength, reminding herself that she was capable of shouldering this responsibility, no matter how heavy it felt.

"Luna Seraphina?" A voice cut through the silence, interrupting Seraphina's reverie. She turned her attention to the source, a concerned pack member seeking her help. "If you have some spare time, could you please ask Alpha Lucas to reconsider my daughter's participation in the run?" the voice pleaded.
