Chapter Thirty-Six

Start from the beginning

"I wonder who the better combatant is, Stella or Magnus?" Jace asked.

"My star is definitely the better fighter. I usually rely on my magic; however, Stella has practiced over centuries of fighting techniques." Magnus told him.

"Let's see who's better between us, when this is over, Stella." Jace told me.

"If you wish." I told him.

We switched attacks between each other, keeping each other at arm's length.

"A little less rusty than I thought." Magnus said

I laughed as we continued moving together. It was like a dance. Jumping, twirling, sliding, everything was in motion, until I got my weapon in front of Alexander's face.

"You can't not be impressed by this." I said

He grabbed by stick, before attacking me with his. Luckily, I jumped and rolled over dodging both his and Magnus attack. Suddenly, I was on the ground with Magnus weapon pointed at me and Alexander holding mine.

"Those would have been your last words." Alexander told me

He grabs Magnus weapon, before tossing them aside.

"Not necessarily." I said sweeping Magnus from under and attacking Alexander.

I laughed, enjoying myself. Suddenly, Magnus had me in a hold.

"I forgot to tell you. I trained with grand Master Mitsuyo Maeda." He told me, us.

"Is that where you got your black belt in name dropping?" Alexander asked as I broke free from the hold. I moved to the side as Alexander and Magnus began fighting.

"Low blow." Magnus said grabbing Alexander in an arm hold.

"You deserved it." Alexander told him.

Magnus moved him into a leg hold instead.

"I didn't know this was supposed to be a competition." Alexander said

"Oh! Am I supposed to just let Stella, or you win?" Magnus asked

I laughed, before unraveling the boys. We all stood up together, circling each other.

"We're supposed to be working." Alexander told us

"Your so cute, when you're serious." I told him

"I told y'all not to flirt with me." Alexander told us as he pushed me into a wall, attacking my lips.

"Alec, you're in the training room." Isabelle said. "What has happened to my brother?" She asked.

I kissed back as I saw Magnus come behind Alexander kissing his deflect rune. I started lifting Alexander shirt before, he pulled back.

"Hold that thought. Bedroom" Alexander told us, walking away.

"Thank angels, we didn't see anything else." Jace said.

I looked at Magnus, before we both ran following Alexander.

I fell on top of the bed, mainly on top of Alexander and Magnus. I tried catching my breath.

"Did y'all miss my cat eyes?" Magnus asked us

"I think it was pretty clear you were enjoying yourself." Alexander told him

"Oh... I hope you're not offended if I continue my training elsewhere. It's more than little distracting, wanting to kiss my instructor and training partner every five minutes." Magnus said

I laughed. "Just five?" I asked

"Yeah, I know. That's probably a good idea." Alexander told him

"I guess that means more time for Alexander and I to 'train' together." I said

"Oh, you little minx." Magnus told me

I laughed, snuggling into Alexander arm's as we watched magnus get up from the bed.

"I thought maybe we could stay in for a while..." Alexander told Magnus

"Oh. A nice idea but... we're already behind schedule. There's a gallery in Chelsea that I want to hit up and a souvlaki truck in Queens that the young ones have been twittering about. " Magnus told us

"Since, when have you've become a planner?" I asked

"Are you sure everything's okay?" Alexander asked

"No. It's just... I'm used to feeling like I had all the time in the world to do whatever I wanted. " Magnus said

"Because you did. Literally." Alexander stated

"But now I have...40... what 50 years left... I just feel that my time is a little more... precious." Magnus told us. I looked down at my hands, knowing that I will be losing both my mates due to age.

"Magnus, 50 years is a lot of time." Alexander told him

"I know, Alexander. But you've had your whole life to live as a mortal. And for me it's... It's a bit of a wakeup call. Especially now with Clary gone. I want to make the most of every moment." Magnus told us

I couldn't help but feel left out. Knowing that I would not age or grow old with them. Stuck being immortal without my mates. Before I could continue with my thoughts, I felt arms around me.

"What's wrong, Stella?" Magnus asked me softly as he grabbed my face to look at him. That left Alexander to be the one holding me from behind.

It was then that I noticed I was crying. I cried harder at that fact.

"We won't ever leave you. Not without a fight." Magnus told me.

"He's right. You're our mate and we would never wish to leave you alone." Alexander told me.

I nodded my head, enjoying the feel of my mates hands in my own.

"Darling, you have to tell us what's wrong?" Magnus repeated

"I can't do this. How am I supposed to move on from y'all. I can't do that. I won't do that." I said between tears.

I knew they couldn't say anything to make me feel better. Magnus just pulled me into his chest as he and Alexander comforted me. After a few moments I stopped crying, gathering my thoughts together.

"I'm fine. I swear." I told them as we broke apart.

I get off from them, before smiling. "Come on boys. We have a gallery to go to." I told them, walking away. I entered the bathroom freshening up.
