"That dress is gorgeous." Isabelle told me.
"Thank you." I told her.
We walked inside the mansion. Magnus on the right and Alec on my left.
"Well... here we are." Magnus said showing Alec the house.
I saw him look to side, before turning towards us.
"Are you sure bringing me here was a good idea?" Alec asked us
"Yeah. It's better than coming with just Stella. No offense, babe, but you actually don't mind Lorenzo. Alec will be our decision breaker about him." Magnus told me
"Great, I'm the middleman." Alexander told us.
"I still prefer you, my love." I told him.
I looked at Alec, as we faced Magnus together.
"I'm joking. I just wanted to show Alec how warlocks party. They'll love you." he told him
Magnus grabbed Alec's hand, while I grabbed his other.
"Just because you're the only Shadowhunter at a party full of warlocks doesn't mean you can't have fun." Magnus told him
"Yeah, well, that's easy for you to say. You've known these people for centuries." Alec said
"And you think that's a good thing?" I asked "Trust me, we don't want to be here any longer that we have to." I said
"But it's tradition for the outgoing High Warlock to pass the baton onto his... replacement." Magnus said before we looked at Lorenzo
"Is that him?" Alec asked
"The one and only. Lorenzo Rey, the New High Warlock of Brooklyn." Magnus said
"Magnus! Magnus Bane!" We heard Lorenzo call out
Magnus tried leaving, but Alec and I stopped him
"You made it. And Stella, it's always good to see you. I see y'all... brought a friend." He said
"Yes, hi. I'm--" Alec started
"Alexander Lightwood. Head of the New York institute. I expect we'll be seeing quite a bit of each other at your Downworld Cabinet meetings. No hard feelings. Right, Bane?" Lorenzo asked
"On the contrary, I'm very contempt in my new position. Being the High Warlock is a thankless job. Long hours, little pay... but I'm sure that doesn't matter to someone as young and civic-minded as yourself." Magnus said
I smirked at that
"Oh, don't be so jaded. I may only be 484, but I'm no stranger to service. All those years working for the High Warlock in Madrid have prepared me well... although I may not be as easy on you as they were. After all, I'm here to serve the warlocks. Not portal you around like some glorified shuttle service." Lorenzo told us
"Still so young." I said
"I wouldn't have it any other way." Alec said smiling
"In that case, I look forward to our first Cabinet meeting. Enjoy the party." Lorenzo said walking away
"Boys, I'll be back." I said
"Alright, we'll be my star/ Okay. Be safe." they said
I followed Lorenzo.
"Stella. Please tell me you're not about to threaten him." Alexander told me.
"Maybe. Knowing me, probably. Guy was being a jackass to you both." I told him.
