Chapter twenty four:

That night Frankie decided to stay over, despite the fact she needed to go home to get clothes for school. I confined myself to my room, waiting for Liam. Just as I got a text from Sam, saying he was making a new dress, Liam climbed through the window. I was a little shocked as he said " just like old times...." I pulled him onto the bed and lay on top of him, saying " and now for something not so old, but still great" after making out for a while, we fitted together like a jigsaw being completed...

Afterwards, I told Liam about Frankie and he said " seriously? He always said he would never tap that, she was too young and childish." I looked at him shocked, my brother was a total dick head. I said " well, Liam, aren't I a little young for you. I mean your just so old, mr adult!" I joked, punching him lightly in his stomach. It was like hitting at rock, he was so toned, tanned, fit and ready. I kissed him lightly again and he said against my lips " I like a younger women, I suppose I'm a cradle snatcher" I hit him again saying " urghh you pedo!" he laughed as we started kissing. Then the door opened. Frankie was in jacks arms, looking a little flustered. jack mumbled, sorry wrong room. How embarrassing! For all of us, it was quite obvious what they were going to be doing, and what we had been doing. They went next door and there was a lot of banging around. I didn't like to think about it and I lost myself in liam once again.

We finished school early on Tuesday, Liam and me. We said goodbye to the very loved up Frankie and jack after lunch, then headed off to our twelve week appointment. I cant believe I'm three months pregnant! I passed Isa on the way out, she was virtually eating mike, they had been going out for about a week or so, it was after she apologised to Frankie. Sam also had a boyfriend, he had a really long name: Justin Sebastian angelos toulio Jonathan Hughes. Or j for short. He was Mexican and really sweet. Quite fit truth be told, he was totally devoted to Sam, always buying him bananas for sone reason, I think they are highly prized in Mexico. Mollie also had a boyfriend, well kind of. She had been going on secret dates with mr.murres. ( Adam) I didn't like Adam, he scared me, and quite frankly, the innocence of little Mollie, the youngest in the class was not gonna be there for much longer. Danny had also found someone to love. Danny and Heather were like the sweetest thing in the world, they had been going out before, and were giving things another try, which seemed to be working out. Heather dyed her hair brown with honey tones in, it really suited her and she ditched the orange look. She wasn't actually a total bitch, she was quite funny, and although we weren't friends, we weren't exactly enemies anymore. Molly had taken over as leader of the skanks. I heard she is dating another college student, Alan I think his name is or something and he is twenty odd, to old in my opinion, but I don't think Molly is right in the head.

We made our way to the appointment. I was actually really excited to see jess as well as my beautiful baby. We went in and got to see jess straight away. " hi guys! How are things? You alright Liam? Lottie, the baby keeping well?" Liam smiled and said he was great, and I agreed, I couldn't keep the smile off my face. She said " ok, so shall I tell you whats happening before we take a look?" we both nodded as she got out her clip board. " In this final week of your first trimester your baby's heart will be beating at a pace of about 160 beats per minute, which is twice as fast as your own. This is because it can't increase the amount of blood it pumps round, like we can, so it has to increase the number of times it beats. Your baby's arms and legs will have fully formed and lengthened and no doubt it will be trying out loads of different positions.

Your little one is now measures around 6cm, with wrists and elbows that bend. The baby's sex is decided at the moment of conception but the genitals will be just starting to develop. You won't be able to see whether your baby is a boy or girl at this stage though." I was so pleased to be learning about what was going on inside of me. I was still craving my mars bars, however I was feeling a lot more tired I asked her about this.

Jess replied happily " If you're permanently tired but finding it hard to sleep, don't despair, most women start perking up in the second trimester - not long to go!You may notice that your skin is changing from the 12 weeks pregnant symptoms. I took this in and thought about it. Liam said " is there anything we need to worry about doctor?" jess looked at her notes then replied" Screening tests are available in your first trimester to assess the risk of abnormalities such as Down's syndrome. But, I think your fine, we can have a look now." she got out the little machine and i saw our beautiful baby. It was starting to look more like a baby now. Jess put it on a little disk for us then said " would you like to know your due date? Dating scans are only an estimate, only around 5 per cent of women give birth on their due date. Keep the date in mind but be prepared for an early or late arrival. Your dated for the baby arriving on July 31st. Maybe a bit earlier, give or take a bit you know?" she wrote some things down on her notepad then said our goodbyes, ordering us back in a few weeks.

When we arrived home, I saw jacks car, swell as dannys and Isa's motorbike with a new addition of another side car, but with a blue sequinned cover. Obviously j's. I smiled, Liam took my hand as we walked in. Isa was sitting on one sofa with mike, Sam and j. On the other sofa was Frankie, Mollie and Danny. Heather didn't really feel comfortable coming to our house just yet, and Isa said adam wasn't welcome. We ordered Chinese from the rice bowl, they gave us free Chinese calendars, we had a great time, laughing, watching films and being teenagers. That was when Isa decided it would be great fun to play spin the bottle, I wasn't so sure when Adam and Heather arrived just as the game was ready to begin....
